Fishing Fun! - My Crafty Heart DT Card

Here's a card made with some lovely My Crafty Heart goodies... The image is by Gillian Roberts and is called 'Fishing Fun' - isn't it a gorgeous image... it brought back some happy memories of childhood... we live near some Meadows and so my dad or grandfather would often take my brother and I pond dipping on hazy summer days... we would come back with jam jars of tadpoles etc...

So, I've made this card for my dad as it's his Birthday today! I know he will love the image.. and I've added some lovely leaves and a 'manly' flower LOL - my dad likes flora and fauna... so know he will be ok with these embellies.... the gorgeous papers are Kaisercraft and you even get little borders included like the one that I've added here...

All from My Crafty Heart....

STAMP: Gillian Roberts - 'Fishing Fun
PAPERS: Kaisercraft - 'Hunt and Gather'
DIES: Memory Box - 'Willow Dragonfly
LEAVES: Marianne Design - 'Anja Leaves 2'
FLOWER: Prima Lucerne - 'Fairy Belle'
GEMS: Hero Arts - 'Small Mixed Gemstones'
STICKLES: 'Star Dust'

Pearl on dragonfly from stash
Sentiment... from Lili of the Valley

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and kept it quite soft to give a watercolour effect.... added Star Dust Stickles to the water and jam jar...

I would like to enter the following challenges:-

Thank goodness it's a bit cooler here in Manchester today... I've been suffering with the heat Embarrassed smile this week and couldn't craft...blog... or do anything... every time I moved away from my Fan... I was dripping and felt faint...
Wasn't the Olympic Ceremony fab last night! Loved the Industrial Revolution part where they forged the Olympic Rings! and Mr Bean was hilarious! I'm not keen on Hey Jude though ... it's so whiney!! ..would have preferred Yellow Submarine or Ticket to Ride.... everybody knows them to singalong to.... but anyway, it was a good opening ceremony!! it was great to look back on all the good things that are British!!
Just gave my dad his card and he loved it!! Winking smile
Off to get something to eat and then later I'm going to watch a film with my daughter.. maybe Jane Eyre!!
Thank You for all your lovely comments!
Hope you all have a good weekend!
Love and Hugs

Can you re-visit my blog and tell me what you think of Sarah's drawings?
I like the opening ceremony, Mr Bean was funny. I thought the beginning was a bit boring but then it started to get interesting as it went along.
Take care of yourself.

Hello Sue - remember me!! God it feels like so long ago since I did any half major blogging! Work is crazy we have been doing 18 hour days but today was a bit shorter - just not good for business as the weather changed again! I had to go buying to O'Neill today and was driving in thundering rain!
This card is so beautiful, no wonder your Dad loved it! I hope he is ok now, I'm sure this cheered him up a bit too! Fab paper, image, love the leaves and sentiment - just all round gorgeousness!!

Smashing card Sue! :) Love the papers and cute image, it really looks wonderfully put together :)

Ditto about the opening ceremony. I kind of agree about the Hey Jude thing too, but I had read that macca wanted the world to join in, and everyone knows how to sing 'na na na nana nana' whatever the language! :D lol!!

Shame St Jude was the patron saint of lost causes tho! ;)

Hope you are keeping well hun,

hugs
