My Crafty Heart DT - A Little Bit Of Country

Howdie Pardners! Today I'd like to share this card for My Crafty Heart. Teresa has some wonderful new stamps and dies in store over at MCH. Sarah Kay and Whiff of Joy!!! Wow! how wonderful is that - I'm so excited about these new goodies!

This image is 'A Little Bit of Country' by Sarah Kay and I really love it!! Hope you do too.... this little lady has done very well for herself at the country barn dance - as she has copped off with The Sheriff!!!! LOL The wooden fence background is supposed to be broken btw!! you can make up your own story of how it got broken !!!! LOL and not sure if it quite works? but hey ho - it's how I envisaged it when designing the card. I have used 3D foam pads to lift the wooden panel.

I was determined to have a picket fence on this card. But this fence went in and out of the rubbish bin three times!! LOL The fence itself is from a digital Raspberry Road set which I printed and cut out. It took ages to cut out though!!! never again!!  Next month I am buying a picket fence die!! I can't order any more this month I have gone way over budget!! Tut Tut!! Not sure what came over me but I've been buying here, there and everywhere - I felt I needed cheering up!! and yes it did the job!! hee hee!! Smile but I have banned myself from any shopping for 2 weeks!! Sad

IMAGE: Sarah Kay Stamp - 'A Little Bit of Country'
PAPERS: Basic Grey - 'Picadilly' (Floral) and My Minds Eye - 'Howdy Doody' (wood)
FLOWERS: Prima - 'Polka Dots - Bright' and 'Parchment Petals Antique'
GEMS: Hero Arts 'Small Mixed Gemstones'
RIBBON: Gingham 'Magenta & White'

Sentiment was made on computer. Sheriff's Badge from Stash.

I've been colouring with Promarkers for a while so thought I would go back to Copics for this one and also I have loads of brown shades in Copics.

I got into big trouble with the family yesterday (Friday). I thought I'd try out a new shop for some crafting goodies. Well the Courier knocked up the whole family at 7.30am!! Now I got up really quick - in my PJ's - but the stupid man didn't allow one second even to get to the door and was like ding dong, ding dong, ding dong, ding dong, hammer, hammer, hammer, hammer on the porch (you get the picture) - So the whole house (who are ill ) was like 'what the ? is going on'
I tell you - if I was a bloke, I would have smacked the courier guy right in his noggin!!! LOL

Lovely and peaceful today - dull, rainy and miserable again but perfect for crafting or staying in and watching TV!!

Anyway, hope you like this little card as much as I enjoyed making it !! Smile

MAWTT Challenge 146 - 'Garden/Flowers'

Good Morning! it's Thursday again, and so it's time for a new challenge over at

This week our lovely Mau is hostess for her very first Challenge and she has chosen the fab theme of ....

I know you are going to love this challenge and am really looking forward to seeing all your wonderful creations. Remember it doesn't have to be a card - it can be an altered item, tag, gift box etc. as long as it follows the theme and has something to do with the garden or flowers.

We are sponsored this week by the fab Stitchy Bear Stamps

and the Winner of this week's challenge will get a very generous prize of a $10.00 Voucher to spend in the store. Lots to choose from in this fab store!!

Stitchy Bear Stamps very kindly gave us some digis to play with and I chose this beautiful image called 'Lily Circle'. I decided to make a Sympathy Card as I need to widen my range of themes. I have also used another image from Stitchy called 'Celtic Frame 1' which I've coloured digitally with a green maple leaf texture.

The paper was also from Stitchy. I have quite a few paper packs that I have never used!!! This pack was part of a prize Collaboration I won about a year ago - I was just looking through and thought this would look good with the Lily! So this paper is my item over 6 months old for Oldie But A Goodie Challenge!! (hope paper counts) The Tag is from Digital Scrapbook Place but I have digitally changed the colour to green and added a sentiment.

The pearls are from stash and the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The image is coloured with Prisma Pencils. I've not blended with Sansodor or Baby Oil as I'm trying to get the hang of just shading using different pressures.

I used some 'Tiara' Glitz Stickles on the stamens as it is very sparkly and has a gorgeous mink tinge to it. On the leaves I've used 'Waterfall' Stickles as I've found this looks good on top of blue or green!! :-))

I've also decorated inside with the same paper and added a sentiment.

Hope you can hop on over to MAWTT and see my Teamies wonderful creations this week! and don't forget to check if you were a winner in last week's challenge!

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:-

Fairy Fun Friday - Challenge 77 - 'Anything with Flowers' ends 2nd May 2012
One Stitch At a Time - Challenge 110 - 'Anything Goes' ends 28th April 2012
Sentimental Sunday - Challenge 99 - 'Celebrating Earth Day' ends 28th April 2012
My Time to Craft - Challenge 178 - 'Gardening Gems' ends 30th April 2012
Oldie but a Goodie - 'On The Farm/In The Garden' ends 30th April 2012
(using paper over + 6 months)
Simon Says - 'Anything Goes' ends 1st May 2012

I finally feel like I'm getting over my cold but now the rest of the household has got it !!! It's a really horrid virus that affects your chest. I had to get up in the night as my mum and dad were really bad and both coughing and wheezing like mad - so I'm really tired today...
I'm going to schedule this for the morning and I really hope Blogger works this time!! The new interface is really odd - it seems to want you to re-set your location for every post that you schedule?? It would be great if you were Phileas Fogg!!! LOL
Thank You for all your lovely comments - they really do brighten up my day! Will catch up with you all soon..

Teddy Bea - Pink and Brown

As I wanted to make a 50th Birthday Card for a friend - I thought I'd combine a few challenges. So I've used this gorgeous Sketch SSS95 for the Sweet Stop Challenge - 'Pick a Sketch' and also I've used the theme of 'Pink and Brown' - Teddy Bo Challenge. And the little buttons in the centre of the flowers fit the Totally Papercrafts - 'All Buttoned Up' Challenge.

The gorgeous papers are First Edition - Sweet Owl. The stripey paper is lovely and glittery. Teddy Bea - Handful of Hearts is from Teddy Bo & Co. I've paper pieced all of the image except for her fur which is coloured with Promarker Vanilla and Prisma Pencils. I've added some Star Dust Stickles to the heart for a little Pizazz!

The little flowers were made with Nellie Snellen Punches using the same paper pad and I've added little Papermania buttons in the centres. Ribbon and little brown flower sequins are from Mei Flower. Sentiment was made on computer.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:-

Totally Papercrafts - Challenge 113 - All Buttoned Up ends 26th April 2012
The Sweet Stop  - 'Pick a Sketch' ends 27th April 2012
Teddy Bo Challenge - 'Pink and Brown' ends 29th April 2012

Now I just have to see whether Blogger will behave and schedule this post. He was behaving very badly last week! Thanks for all your lovely comments - they always brighten my day! I will catch up with you all very soon!
Edit: Well it didn't post as scheduled. Found out my Location had changed to USA in Post Settings. I changed it to correct location and it then posted - so if you are having trouble with scheduled posts - then check your location. Now behave Blogger!!! be nice for the rest of the week!!! LOL

Hope you've got your sunglasses at the ready... because this is certainly bright and bold !!! but hopefully it will cheer you up in this dull and miserable weather here in the UK!! Isn't this little lady gorgeous!! You just know she has a mega bubbly personality - I think she has a look of Kylie Minogue about her - well what she might have looked like as a toddler anyway !!! I decided to go with a pink and lime theme with this card and have used Kaisercraft and Prima papers - see below for details. I wish I'd done the pearls a bit different bottom right but hey ho! never mind. In fact I've got very carried away with the pearls haven't I - ROFL - and also not quite sure why her hair is silver - I think it must be my fever with this cold - it's sending me a bit loopy !!!!

It doesn't look like the weather will be improving any time soon, so I will be staying indoors and keeping warm! Today we had thunder and hail that covered the whole street in ice. I've never seen anything like it - there was also a river running down the road - I'm actually wondering whether we should trade our car in for a boat !!!! LOL

MAWTT Challenge 145 - 'Christmas in April'

Good Morning! The weeks are just whizzing by now aren't they? and yet I still have to pinch myself that we are in April - it's So blooming cold!! but never mind - why not stay indoors snug and warm and do some crafting! and as it's Thursday - it's time for a brand new challenge over at

Our lovely boss Hazel is hosting the challenge this week and has chosen the fab theme of ...

'Christmas in April'

I hope you can join us in what promises to be a fun challenge - I certainly had fun making this little card and it's a great way to get ahead with your Cards, Gifts, Tags - so that you are not rushing around and making them all on Christmas Eve!! It doesn't have to be a card but it does have to follow the theme and be something Christmassy!!!

We have a Fab Sponsor this week... Bugaboo!!!  Ooh I do love their images...

and the Winner of this week's challenge will get a very generous prize of 7 Bugaboo images of their choice!!! (worth $21) - Wow! How cool is that!! :-))

Bugaboo also very kindly gave us some fab images to play with and I chose this little gingerbread man! 'Christmas Gingers - 'Candy Canes'. I wanted to do a Gingerbread card last year but never got around to it.

I've used the Nitwits Collections - Woodland Wishes papers again. I chose some cream and plum papers from the set and digitally coloured the gingerbread man to match. I have done some shading with Prisma pencils but it's not really showing up in the photo. I used the colours to make matching sentiments.

The embellishments are all from one set. They are buttons and I just took the back off the sweeties and lollipop. The little gingerbread house was already flat.

So this was quite a quick card to make but I really like it. Oops I nearly forgot - the icing on the Gingerbread Man. I used my new Snow Marker and then heat embossed it slightly and then brushed it with glossy accents. It looks quite like icing in real life as it glistens.

Hope you can hop on over to MAWTT for more wonderful inspiration from my Teamies! And don't forget to check whether you were a winner last week. Can I say a Big Thank You for all your wonderful entries into my Vintage/Shabby Chic Challenge - it was So hard choosing three winners - they were all so fab!!!

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:-

Stamptacular Sunday - Challenge 159 - 'Freebie Week' ends 21st April 2012
Incy Wincy Designs - Challenge 142 - 'Digi's Only' ends 22nd April 2012
Crafty Sentiments Designs - 'Use a Digi' ends 23rd April 2012

I have to apologise for being a bad blogger this week - I still can't shake off this cold and it's making me really tired. I hope to catch up with you all very soon!! I'd also like to welcome my new followers! and to say a big Thank You for all your lovely comments!

MCH - DT Card - Sweet Eline in the 'Fairy Belle' Wood

Hello all, hope you are all enjoying the weekend. This is a card that was inspired by the new Prima - 'Fairy Belle' Pad which is now in stock at My Crafty Heart. Wow - this pad is So gorgeous. It's like a Fairy Woodland in pretty earthy/neutral colours.

I have used the gorgeous Nellie Snellen - 'Sweet Eline's Flower' again. But I've coloured her quite different this time and stuck to earthy colours of grey and brown to go with the paper that I've chosen. I think she looks very different but is just as beautiful.

I've not used too many embellies because I didn't want to cover up too much of the paper but have used lots of sparkle and gems and pearls!!  I also tried out my new Memory Box Willow Dragonfly Die and it's fab!! This little dragonfly is perfect for using up scraps of leftover design paper. Then you can add pearls or gems if you wish and it looks so pretty.

Products used - all available from My Crafty Heart store:-

Paper - Prima - 'Fairy Belle' 6 x 6 pad
Die - Memory Box - 'Willow Dragonfly'
Pearls - Jenni Bowlin Pearls 'Cream Cheese'
Gems - Hero Arts 'Small Mixed Gemstones'
Sparkle - Stickles - 'Star Dust'

I've added some lace from stash and a sentiment from Pink Petticoat. I thought this would make a nice Get Well card as it's quite calm and pretty.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:-

Scrap Creations - 'Spring' ends 16th April 2012
Crafts & Me - Challenge 79 - '3D Embellishments' ends 17th April 2012

Thank You for all your lovely comments! I will catch up with you all soon! I managed to get some colouring done yesterday and really enjoyed it. I had a bit of a cold last week though and it's now settled on my chest and so I'm not feeling so good today - it's affecting my asthma and I'm just struggling to breathe this evening.  I have doubled up my inhalers and so will see how it goes. I really don't think this blooming weather helps at all !!! Hope you are all staying cosy and warm!!!

MAWTT Challenge 144 - 'Shabby Chic and/or Vintage'

Good Morning! Hope you all had a lovely Easter! I don't know about 'April Showers' - it's more like 'April Torrentials' here in Manchester! But at least it's perfect weather for staying indoors warm and cosy and doing some crafting!!! and as it's Thursday again, it's time for a new challenge over at

It's my turn to host the Challenge this week and I have chosen the theme of ….

So we want to see creations that are either Shabby Chic or have a Vintage Image/theme or both!  It doesn't have to be a card - as long as you follow the theme.

We are sponsored this week by the fab Crafty Emma's Store

and the Winner of this week's challenge will get a very generous prize of a £10.00 Voucher to spend in the store (excluding P & P)

Papers, Frame and Tag: Digital Scrapbook Place using 'French Provincial Page Kit'
Sentiment: Pink Petticoat using 'Simple Sentiments'
Ribbon: from Stash

Isn't it lovely to be able to put a name to the face. This lovely lady is Arlette Dorgère who apparently was a famous artist of varieties from 1909 to the First World War. She's certainly a beauty!

I've used 'Glacier Blue' Flexmarker on the lace and also a touch on the white corners. The WOC metal butterfly was antique gold originally and so painted it with white acrylic paint.

The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat and I superimposed it onto the Tag from the Scrapbooking Kit.

For the miniature picture I sized down the main photo to fit the little MCH Melissa Frances frame, then just glued the image and trimmed around. It was really easy to do and looks so sweet!

Hope you can hop on over to MAWTT for more details of the challenge and to look at my Teamies wonderful creations - lots of different styles to inspire you - and all so beautiful .... oh and don't forget to check if you were a winner in last week's challenge! Thank you for all your wonderful entries - we certainly had lots of Va Va Voom!! and we enjoyed looking at them all !!

MAWTT - Challenge 143 - Va Va Voom (Sexy Ladies/Men)

Good Morning all! Hope you are all having a good week! it's a shame the weather has gone a bit chillier - but perfect for crafting and as it's Thursday again - time for another wonderful challenge over at.....

Moving Along With The Times

The lovely Shell is our hostess this week and she has chosen the fab theme of

'Va Va Voom!! (Sexy Ladies or Men)'

Ooh er, matron!!! - LOL - yes here at MAWTT we are going a bit risqué this week!! so we want to see sexy ladies or sexy men. Lots of fab images out there for this theme!

We are sponsored this week by the fabulous Kenny K !!!!!

who are giving a very generous prize of  5 Digi Images!!! from their store!! Wow! what a fab prize!!

I have chosen to use the fab KennyK image - Scarlett West and thought I would go with a Steampunk Theme. Isn't she gorgeous!!  The amazing paper is designed by Celina Di Pisa and produced by Rayher Papers - I've had it stored safely away for about a year and it took SO much courage to cut into it!!! I've not put too many embellies on because I didn't want to cover up the paper!! I've also used a larger card blank (8 inches) to show off the paper.

The 'Taurus' sentiment was made on computer - the card is going to be for a Taurus girl who is into Steampunk!!

Colouring Medium: Promarkers and Flexmarkers:-
Putty, Sunkissed Pink, Antique White, Champagne,Cocoa, Caramel,
Warm Grey 1 2, 4
Gold Metallic pen for coat buttons
Star Dust Stickles

I've zoomed in here and you might just be able to see the sparkle on her bodice and underskirt and the smoke! Lots of fine details on this image and so I had to use my Ultra Fine Nibs.

I've decorated inside with a Scrapbook layout. It's a Set called "Melt My Heart" from Digital Scrapbook Place. Sorry about the photo - the sun was streaming in when I took it and I was too tired to do it all again!! I arranged the Sentiment inside the Cog and it says Have A Wonderful Birthday!

I do hope you can hop on over to MAWTT for more details of the challenge and to check out my Teamies wonderful creations this week .... you will love them all !!! and don't forget to check if you were a winner of our last challenge! :-)

Thank you for all your lovely comments! they always brighten my day :-)

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:-

Divas by Design - Challenge 29 - 'Anything Goes' ends 10th April 2012
Ooh La La Creations - Challenge 102 - 'Vintage' ends 15th April 2012

Not long until the weekend now! I am SO tired at the moment that I think I might end up sleeping the whole of Easter!!!!! although I might be tempted out of my sleepy hollow for a little chocolate on Sunday!!! LOL
Anyway, I would like to wish you all the best and a very Happy Easter!
Fingers crossed for a little bit of sunshine!!
Take Care!

My Crafty Heart DT Card - 'A Little Kiss'

Good evening! I have another wonderful image to show you today... it is called 'A Little Kiss' and is one the new range of Mabel Lucie Attwell stamp sets available at My Crafty Heart. Isn't it adorable?

The Stamp comes with the following sentiments also: "Happy Anniversary" and "Hugs & Kisses", "Sent with a Wish" and "With Love". I stamped these images before my Birthday and I have somehow mislaid all the Sentiments that I stamped!!! :-(

The Mabel Lucie Attwell sets all stamp beautifully and are a joy to colour. I've used the gorgeous "Howdy Doody" pad again - I love how bright and cheery these papers are!! I used the reverse side of the stripey paper for the "Delicate Vine" border. I love this border - it cut beautifully first time and think I will use it a lot.

 Colouring Medium: Promarkers and Flexmarkers
Skin: Putty, Sunkissed Pink
Girl's Hair: Primrose, Mustard
Boy's Hair: Champagne, Cappuccino
Greens: Apple, Meadow Green
Oranges: Honeycomb, Light Peach, Prisma Pencil
Aquas: Soft Aqua, Cool Aqua
Flowersoft: Autumn

Thank heavens for Prisma Pencils! I coloured this image a couple of nights ago and when I came to make up my card saw that the orange looked dreadful and SO unblended!! It might be that I was working by lamplight!!! but anyway managed to find a Prisma shade to blend it all together! :-)

I've used some of the new Flowersoft that is in stock at MCH. This shade is 'Autumn' and is perfect for this sunny card! So I've added some little flowers to her hair and in her bonnet. I think this will be an Anniversary Card or Valentines Card.

The following are all available from My Crafty Heart - please click on links to see :-))

Stamp: Mabel Lucie Attwell - "A Little Kiss"
Papers: My Mind's Eye - 'Howdy Doody'
Die:  Memory Box  - 'Delicate Vine'
Flowers: Prima Dollhouse Collection - 'Marilee'
Charm: Fruit Charm Collection - "Cherries"
Ribbon: Gingham Ribbon - "Yellow & White"
Small Gems: Hero Arts - "Small Mixed Gemstones"
Large Gems: Hero Arts - "Sunshine Mixed Accents"

The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:-

Fairy Fun Friday - Challenge 75 - 'Spring Fling' ends 5th April 2012
