Moving Along With The Times (DT Card) - 'Spots and/or Stripes' Challenge

Hi all, Hope you are all well and settling back into a normal routine after the festive break. It's the beginning of a new year and we have lots to look forward to here at

Moving Along With The Times

Some brand new sponsors, fab prizes, wonderful themes and a big Birthday celebration planned in Midsummer!!! So hope you will join us in what promises to be a wonderful 2012 !!

So onto this week's Challenge and the lovely Laurie is our hostess and has chosen the fab theme of ..

'Spots and/or Stripes'

So, we want to see anything with Spots or Stripes, or both!! There are lots of lovely papers around that will fit this theme and remember it doesn't have to be a card - you can make any project as long as it has spots and/or stripes!

Our fab sponsor this week is:-

Sir Stampalot!!

who are very kindly offering the following prize for our lucky winner!

Ooh, I wish I could enter - what a lovely prize! :-)

and that's not all....

We have an additional prize up for grabs on this challenge.
A GDT spot to join us at MAWTT for a whole month!
If you want to be in with a chance of this fabulous opportunity please add GDT after your name when you enter the challenge!

I bought some gorgeous Zebra Stripe pattern paper by Anna Griffin just before Christmas and so thought it was perfect for this challenge!!! It's flocked and gorgeous and you just want to stroke it all the time LOL.

The gorgeous rolled rose die was a pressie from my good friend and teamie Laurie and is Marianne Creatables 'English Rose'. Thank you hun!!!  I glittered the edges of the rose with Sakura Glitter Pen.

The fab image and sentiment is from Pink Petticoat. I had seen these lovely Diva Doodles before when shopping and had managed to resist!! but I wanted an image that was quick to colour and I realised that the images would go with the paper !!!! So perfect excuse for another shopping spree!! LOL

Colouring is with Flexmarkers and Promarkers. The spotty ribbon and pearls are from my stash. I was stressed when I made this and looking at it now, I wish that I'd done a fancy edging on the card strip where ribbon is!! I really hate it as it is !!! Might try this card again and try and do a better version!!!

I really hope you can join us in this week's challenge and do pop over to MAWTT  for more details
and to check out the rest of the teams gorgeous creations!!!

I think that's everything. Although, I nearly forgot to schedule this post!!

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:-

CES - Challenge 67 - 'Anything Goes' ends 13th January 2012

Cupcake Craft - Challenge 174 - 'Something New' ends 15th January 2012

Your rolled flowers are perfect! Mine somehow always 'wobble' ;-) I didn't get to see Edwin Drood last night either, I taped the two episodes, love to watch this evening (if nothing comes in between that is!). Have a lovely evening, hugs, Ira x
