I hope you are all well this Thursday morning...  it's time for a new challenge over at

Moving Along With The Times

and this week our lovely Kim has chosen a fab theme of...

'Use 3 Things Beginning with the Same Letter'

It doesn't have to be a card... you just need to use 3 things on your creation that begin with the same letter... so lots of scope! ;-)) I'm sure you can all guess that I have gone with the Letter B !! so that's Blue, Birdie and Buttons....

Annie also gave us some cute images to play with and I have used an image from a set called 'Little Birdie' and they are really sweet!! you can buy them pre-coloured also.

I have digitally coloured this image and used Pink Petticoat Papers... I layered up the papers on my computer and then printed them out as one... so although it looks like more... there are just two layers on this card including the image... I want to make some lighter cards that are easier for postage... so I've kept the embellies to a minimum... 4 buttons, a little silver flower sequin on the flower... and the sentiment which I made on computer.

The image was coloured digitally to match my papers and embellies...and I've added a silver flower sequin and blue pearl pen...it was a very quick card but I think it's cute! hope you like it too! :-))

Christmas Angel

Here's a Christmas Card using LOTV Stamp 'Icy Angel'. Now she doesn't look very icy does she? LOL - I've gone for non-traditional colours on this one...I just felt like making a Christmas Card that was bright and cheery! the sentiment comes with the stamp.



The paper was freebie with Crafts Beautiful magazine last year and just thought it went with my little angel... the flourish was a free sample that Tracy kindly gave me with an order from Dies to Die For and I think it's called Mega Flourish 2. Flower is from My Crafty Heart and is Prima 'Miss Godivas' Marshmallow. Gem is from stash.

 I've coloured Icy Angel with watercolour pens and added stickles to the wings, stars and flowers... hope you like it...

I hope you are all managing to stay safe and dry in this horrible weather... weekend was very dismal and wet!! Thankfully I could stay indoors warm and cosy and I made a couple of Christmas Cards on Sunday... then watched Crickley Hall... ooh it is SO spooky... some of the scenes were filmed just around the corner from where I live... the rest is filmed in Derbyshire which is perfect for ghost story... ;-)

So we want to see dots or spots somewhere on your creations... it doesn't have to be a card... as long as you follow the theme!! and don't forget you can enter up to three times! but please no backlinking....

I have gone very Clean and Simple this week as I need to make some Thank You cards...

I've used a pink card blank and my new embossing folder which I love!! made the sentiment on computer... where are the dots you ask? on the little ladybird!! I really should have used my swiss dots embossing folder but just didn't think at the time... I was so eager to try out my new folder!! LOL

I made the graduated blue background on the computer and left the image black and white to colour... I've coloured the image with Promarkers. So it was quite a quick card.... but hope you like it...

Looking forward to Strictly on Saturday - doesn't it come around quickly... the weeks are whizzing by now!! it is getting so close on the eliminations and the standard is really high this year... I don't want to see any of them go out! ...  Did you watch The Secret of Crickley Hall on Sunday? I thought it was fab... really spooky! just how I like it... 

Sorry if I haven't got around to visit everyone... I've had a couple of appointments this week and I feel really shattered after them... I guess I am run down with all the chest trouble that I've had recently... just want to sleep at the moment!!

Heidi in the Forest....

Hello... Here's little Heidi again... can you tell how much I love her!!! you might even see her again soon... but I promise she will always be coloured differently so hopefully you won't get bored!! As you can enter twice for the Crafting Life's Pieces November Challenge I thought I would use the Sketch again and use Autumn Colours this time... with the idea that Heidi is in a Christmas Forest...

This gorgeous Wee Stamp called 'Heidi' is available from My Crafty Heart. The scrummy papers are a mix of Kaisercraft - Turtle Dove and My Mind's Eye - Lost & Found. The sentiment is LOTV from the Grunge Christmas Stamp Set.

The Flower is a Prima one that I've had for over a year! and it just happened to be the right colour... the holly is from Wild Orchid Crafts and the little gold berries have been recycled from an old xmas flower arrangement.... pearls are MeiFlower - Coffee Mix. The little wooden tree and ribbon are from stash.

I've coloured 'Heidi' with Watercolour Pens. I've used a little bit of Wow Flock on her Pom Poms and Snow Crystal Glitter for the Snow.

So we want to see all your creations using a Star/s somewhere on your project... it doesn't have to be a card... as long as you follow the theme!! lots of scope here... you could use a star embellishment or have an image with a star/s.... don't forget you can enter up to three times but no backlinking....

they also gave us some really cute images to play with and I have used a 'Barry Countdown to Christmas' one and he is SO cute!!! 

Little Barry is getting all tangled up in the Christmas Lights bless him.... The scrummy papers are Basic Grey 'Nordic Holiday'... I've embossed a strip of card with a Snowflake Border (freebie with a mag) and I've brushed it with Distress Ink to show up the pattern .... the bow is with Papermania Ribbon and the little charm is from stash. I've added some red Star gems and a green pearl star from stash... So lots of Stars on my card..... oh the sentiment is a Peel Off added to a tag...  it hasn't photographed very well because of the gold on it...

Now I don't what happened when I was designing this card in my head... but upon completion all I can see is  the ITALIAN FLAG!!!!! ROFL - ok it's not the right way round and the middle is a bit greeny... but you can see it can't you? ... but anyway... I still love it cos Barry Bear is SO darn cute!!!!

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and Copics.

MAWTT - Spotlight Technique

Hello!! I hope you are all well this Thursday morning... biggest of hugs to those who are not....it's my turn to host a new Challenge over at...

Moving Along With The Times

and I have chosen the theme of.....

'Spotlight Technique'

I think a lot of people are put off this theme because of leaving some areas black and white... so hopefully in this card below it shows that you don't necessarily have to do that... also below is a short tutorial.

In this card I have mounted the circle with 3D Foam pads to make it stand out.... the paper was a freebie with magazine..

If you have never heard of the technique it is really easy....

1. Stamp or Print out the same image twice.... if using digital images make sure they are both same size. 

2. Cut or Punch out a Circle of one of the images.

3. Now you can either leave the circle black and white and colour the other image ... or do the reverse... colour the spotlight and leave the rest of the image black and white.. or you can colour both if you wish... it's up to you... and the main thing is that you have fun!

4. If you mount the spotlight on 3D pads it really makes the spotlight stand out... 

The spotlight doesn't have to be a circle - it could be any shape that you wish....

The technique works really well on tags and I think they look quite cool.... and very quick to make when you are in a rush for Christmas....

I enjoyed making both the card and tags ... I hope that they inspire you to have a go at this technique....

Heidi - CLP Sketch

Hello... Happy Bonfire Night! I hope you are all well.... and big hugs to those who are not... I am feeling much better now although I do seem to be very SLOW at doing stuff... I have been really struggling to find my mojo... so thought I would work with a Sketch for some inspiration... I have used this fab one from Crafting Life's Pieces for their November Challenge.

I've used a gorgeous Wee Stamp called 'Heidi' which is available from My Crafty Heart. The gorgeous papers are Kaisercraft - Turtle Dove. The border and sentiment was also included in the pad.

I've added a rich red bow. Both the ribbon and pink gems are from MeiFlower. Also some Wooden Snowflakes from stash. Sorry about the photos they are a bit glary!! and poor Heidi looks totally anaemic but she does have a pink face irl honest!!... I've taken so many photos of this card and I'm still not happy but it will have to do... I should get my light box out but I don't have the energy yet!!! LOL

I've coloured 'Heidi' with Watercolour Pens. I've added 'Snow Crystal' Glitter on image and also on the torn paper.....

I hope you are all having a nice evening. My daughter and her boyfriend have gone to a Firework Display... I'm staying in warm and snug!! Just had my Bangers and Mash for Supper... so am nice and relaxed and will probably be feeling sleepy again very soon!! Wasn't Downton fab!! I am going to miss it SO much... isn't the new girl Rose a Hoot!!! LOL methinks she is going to cause bedlam in the Christmas Special !!!

MAWTT - 'Stitch Up'

Good Morning... hope you are all well today.... I am feeling a lot better than I did last week. Thanks for all your good wishes.. I will be catching up with you all over the next few days. I can't believe it's Thursday again already... and so time for a new Challenge over at

'Stitch Up'

So we want to see Stitching! Lots of scope for this challenge... you could stitch your Design Papers, use Faux Stitching or Sew something with Felt... it's up to you....really looking forward to seeing all your fab creations! 

My intention was to sew several of these hearts but with being poorly I only got one of them finished! The sewing kit was a pressie from my daughter last xmas. I thought all the pieces would be cut out and ready to sew... but basically they just gave you a load of materials, buttons and some templates and said.... 'have fun' LOL!! It took me quite a while to do as my dexterity is not good.... but did most of it a few weeks ago while my daughter was away in Scotland.

The two fabrics that I used here frayed a lot... but they kind of give it a shabby chic look? that's my excuse anyway. I forgot to sew the hanging ribbon into the seam and so have tried to make it look pretty with the added button. Hope you like it!
