My Crafty Heart DT - A Little Bit Of Country

Howdie Pardners! Today I'd like to share this card for My Crafty Heart. Teresa has some wonderful new stamps and dies in store over at MCH. Sarah Kay and Whiff of Joy!!! Wow! how wonderful is that - I'm so excited about these new goodies!

This image is 'A Little Bit of Country' by Sarah Kay and I really love it!! Hope you do too.... this little lady has done very well for herself at the country barn dance - as she has copped off with The Sheriff!!!! LOL The wooden fence background is supposed to be broken btw!! you can make up your own story of how it got broken !!!! LOL and not sure if it quite works? but hey ho - it's how I envisaged it when designing the card. I have used 3D foam pads to lift the wooden panel.

I was determined to have a picket fence on this card. But this fence went in and out of the rubbish bin three times!! LOL The fence itself is from a digital Raspberry Road set which I printed and cut out. It took ages to cut out though!!! never again!!  Next month I am buying a picket fence die!! I can't order any more this month I have gone way over budget!! Tut Tut!! Not sure what came over me but I've been buying here, there and everywhere - I felt I needed cheering up!! and yes it did the job!! hee hee!! Smile but I have banned myself from any shopping for 2 weeks!! Sad

IMAGE: Sarah Kay Stamp - 'A Little Bit of Country'
PAPERS: Basic Grey - 'Picadilly' (Floral) and My Minds Eye - 'Howdy Doody' (wood)
FLOWERS: Prima - 'Polka Dots - Bright' and 'Parchment Petals Antique'
GEMS: Hero Arts 'Small Mixed Gemstones'
RIBBON: Gingham 'Magenta & White'
STICKLES: Star Dust

Sentiment was made on computer. Sheriff's Badge from Stash.

I've been colouring with Promarkers for a while so thought I would go back to Copics for this one and also I have loads of brown shades in Copics.

I got into big trouble with the family yesterday (Friday). I thought I'd try out a new shop for some crafting goodies. Well the Courier knocked up the whole family at 7.30am!! Now I got up really quick - in my PJ's - but the stupid man didn't allow one second even to get to the door and was like ding dong, ding dong, ding dong, ding dong, hammer, hammer, hammer, hammer on the porch (you get the picture) - So the whole house (who are ill ) was like 'what the ? is going on'
I tell you - if I was a bloke, I would have smacked the courier guy right in his noggin!!! LOL

Lovely and peaceful today - dull, rainy and miserable again but perfect for crafting or staying in and watching TV!!

Anyway, hope you like this little card as much as I enjoyed making it !! Smile

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:-

Creative Inspirations - Challenge 160 - 'Anything Goes' ends 1st May 2012

Just doing some catch up visiting here Sue! Love this card - Sarah Kay is one of my faves I love the 1st kiss one and this is similar. This is just one gorgeous card Sue love the colours and the fence and that cute little sherifs badge. I just had a sort out this afternoon and found a pack of 100 Bazzill cardstock and a kit of HOTP papers and brads (and they're lush!) that I bought in 2009! think I must have hidden them cos I'd already bought too much and even hid them from myself til now!! hugs Judith x

Love your card Sue the broken fence is a great idea lets our imaginations run riot. I don't know about your delivery at that early hour though bit early for most folk, but as I live in a rural area where it is sometimes after 3pm before we get our post you can imagine how frustrating it is waiting on a parcel of goodies to arrive .Ithink we are the last stop for most couriers not the first. Hope the family are all well soon take care hugs Meg.
