My Time to Craft GDT - Zoo Animals

Gosh can't believe it's Saturday again already! so time for another of my GDT challenges at

and this week's theme is

'Zoo Animals'

I've used a wonderful Bugaboo Lion... isn't he the cutest lion ever!!!!  This is a card for a little boy who loves lions and tigers and goes around shouting "Roar!!!!" :-))

A very easy card to make... I merged the image with the papers... added my own sentiments and then printed the whole thing off leaving the lion white. Then coloured in the lion with Copics.

Image: Bugaboo Stamps - Lion Topper
Blue Paper: Pink Petticoat - Animal Print
Colouring Medium: Copics

Hope you can pop over to My Time To Craft and see the rest of the team's wonderful Zoo creations!

Talking of animal noises... we got woken up in the middle of Thursday night by a Vixen's Scream!! As we live right by the woods, there are lots of Foxes around here and it's lovely to see one when coming home from an evening out... but don't like when they scream like that.. sounds like a woman being murdered... sends chills down my spine!!

I also heard another weird noise a couple of months back, again in the middle of the night, which sounded like a cross between a chimp and a parrot right outside my window!! really frustrating as I couldn't see a thing when I looked out!! but have just found out that this noise is called Gekkering and is also made by foxes when they are playing or fighting!!  Lol - I honestly didn't know foxes could make so many different noises! so there you go... some interesting nature facts... Springwatch with Sue B! Hee hee...

Hope you all have a lovely weekend... hope the sun shines for the Bank Holiday in the UK!
Take Care

This is a super layout for this image! I think it's a cool design, one of those that would also fit for a teenager (I think they're the hardest to do) and the sentiments work so well too!

Well I've looked and read about your 'easy' card with amazement Sue!
Doesn't sound easy to me...But, I LOve it..You've created a FAbulous scene! perhaps if these foxes got a whiff of this cute little lad, they would soon disappear lol..
Have a lovely weekend.

This is gorgeous Sue, I love the image, wonderful colouring and the perfect choice of papers.
I know what you mean about foxes making terrible noises, I have been woken by them several times - not helped by the fact that our neighbour often feeds them!
I hope you are having a good weekend.

Hi Sue, what a fabulous card and I love the image and the layout of the card. Brilliant.

We have a fox that visits during the night and we put out bones and things for it as my Hubby has seen it wandering around the lane and said it was thin as a rake.

Awesome card Sue - your coloring is terrific!! I had a little boy who used to run around saying ROAR (he's now 21) and that brought back such a sweet memory for me to read this. I liked reading about the foxes too - I didn't know that either. Happy weekend to you! Hugs

Lol loving the Springwatch with Sue....we live slap bang in the middle of Stoke, but have a river & canal running real close & as there are lots of trees & hiding places we get foxes in our street playing at night. You can hear them, it sounds like they are laughing at each other. I remember a few years ago I had been playing with Charlie (dog) in the back yard & had left his squeaky toy out there....we were watching something on TV & could hear this squeaking looked out the window & it was a fox cub playing with it!!! <3

Anyhoos love this card hun, great layout & he look really sweet
Have a great Sunday

I love your card Sue. I do like the idea of designing the card and leaving the image so as you can add your own touches to it x

Fabulous card Sue - such a cute Lion - can there be such a thing lol!!!!
Love the LO and perfect papers.
The only animals that make noises around here are the seagulls squawking about 3am every morning in the summer - sounds like a drunken rabble on the way back home after a night on the tiles lol!!!!
Hope you are well hun and had a lovely BH weekend.

Sue, Love this card, aren't Bugaboo stamps awesome! I LOL at the noises from the foxes. I had an odd one like this when I was growing up. We had a pond with Toads and my cats liked to fish them out and hit them...when a Toad is hit is makes a sound EXACTLY like a woman being murdered..It took us MONTHS to figure out what it was LOL. Have a great weekend. Hope the sun shines this weekend at least - it is hotter than hell here in NYC. Cx
