Vintage Sunshine

Awww... the sunshine has disappeared!! now it's back to cold, dull and rain!! :-(
I can't believe that it's April and most of the trees are still bare... but there is hope! as some of the trees are finally starting to get a few tiny leaves at long last!!

It was sunny at weekend though and I was on a bit of a roll with my crafting and so made a few cards... my lovely friend Ira gave me some gorgeous crafting goodies for my Birthday... Thank you hun! ... and when I saw this beautiful paper... I just had to create a vintage themed card with it....

The lovely vintage image is from Pion Design. Originally it was Sepia but I decided to try adding a touch of colour with my Prisma Pencils... so hopefully it matches the colours in the paper...

Flowers: Prima from stash
Butterfly - Prima - Zephyr
Bow - MeiFlower
Pearls: from stash
Sentiment: made on computer

My darling daughter bought me some of the lovely Prima Butterflies for my Birthday... they are SO gorgeous!!

I've added some Stardust Stickles to the paper edges - and there is also some glitter on the butterfly and the flowers... so it is a lovely sparkly card... I was thinking of a lovely Spring or Summer's Day when I made this.... so I hope that shows through in the card... :-)

I would like to enter the following Challenges:-

Crafty Catz - 'Anything Goes'
Allsorts - 'Spring has Sprung'
Totally Gorjuss - 'Anything Goes with Sparkle'

(Metal, Flowers, Pearls)

My printer has been playing up this week... in fact all of my technology has been driving me totally nuts lately!! a couple of weeks ago I had 200 emails in 3 days from Facebook... all from the same website!!! I have changed my settings now and it seems to be ok... touch wood...

My laptop is getting far too clever for it's own good!! it thinks it knows me so well.. always finishing my Search terms in Google... and now it keep asking what I'm looking for... I was searching for some Embossing Ink the other day and a pop up came on the screen and said..."are you searching for a buried voodoo doll??" LOL - how random! like we are all looking for one of those!!

and the new Hotmail is SO ugly but wouldn't be so bad if it actually worked... but it keeps freezing and saying it is unavailable... Grrr...

Ah well, I suppose we love technology really... where would we be without it... it just drives you a bit mad from time to time... Confused smile

I hope you are all keeping well... Thank you for all your lovely comments!... I really do appreciate them... I will catch up with you all very soon... :-))
Love and hugs

This is a beauty Sue, those papers are pretty stunning and how you coloured the image is genius! I don't know how you can part with your lovely treasure (butterflies and such) I keep mine and stroke it!!
Your post really made me smile about technology (and trust me it takes a lot to make me smile at the minute)!

Sue, this is gorgeous and everything works so very well together. You certainly captured the spring sunshine in this card, which is a wonderful antidote to the dull drizzle and chill wind blowing outside the window right now. Thanks for sharing with us at Ooh La La Creations

But I think you should have your laptop checked, maybe you should reset it to the UK instead of Jamaica or Ghana, lol! Gosh, imagine you looking for a voodoo doll, hilarious!! Big hugs, Ira xox

Hi Sue,
It's lovely seeing you entering the LLC challenge (I think it's your 1st time, or if you entered in the last 3 months, I might have missed it as I've been so busy). Wonderful seeing you using a vintage image, and how I wish I owned some Prismas now so I could copy your approach, I don't think it'll turn out well if I try it with my Copics, LOL. Beautiful card. Have a a great weekend! Hugz, Sandra

Stunning card Sue, love the gorgeous vintage image and the details are beautiful too hun. I agree about the technology, the worse is when you ring somewhere and it takes forever to go through all the choices. :o(
