MAWTT Challenge 148 - 'Nautical'

Morning my lovelies - it's Thursday again... so time for a new Challenge over at

This week it's the lovely Leesa who is hostess for her very first Challenge and she has chosen the fab theme of ....

'Nautical'

So we want to see your creations with anything to do with the Boats, Sailors, Pirates, Mermaids etc. I felt really off when I made this - just hope it doesn't show in the card!! it's quite a simple design. I've used a Stitchy Bear Stamp called 'In The Harbour'.

I've tried something a bit different and used some Watercolours that a blogging friend bought me for my Birthday - Thank You so much hun!!! The sky is done digitally - not sure why I chickened out of painting the sky but felt I needed to give myself a head start!! LOL it's not perfect but I'm quite pleased with it. I haven't done any Watercolour painting for about 20 years!! I have to say it was very relaxing - so might have another go very soon!

The gorgeous papers were a freebie from Design House Digital and called For The Boys by Karen Funk. They are lovely papers. The background one is quite velvety but it doesn't show up too well in photo. Sentiment was made on computer. The shells were from Sir Stampalot but not sure if they are still available as I think they were in an end of stock sale. I noticed they have some gorgeous charms in store though. Talking of which....

Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Sir Stampalot!!!

and just look at the fab prize that they have given us for this week's winner!! Ooh I wish I could enter!!!

I hope you can hop on over to MAWTT for more details of our Challenge and to check out my Teamies wonderful creations - lots of fab inspiration!! ;-))

I have been to dentist today (Wednesday) for a filling. Boy am I shattered!!! I had panic attack while I was there and well... have you ever tried to control your breathing while the dentist is holding down your tongue and drilling - and the suction woman is ramming her thingy ma-jig up into the roof of your mouth - Yikes. All I can say is that next time I will be taking a sedative before I go.... My dentist is brilliant though, very calm which I like. I don't know what he injected me with this time but my face was dead on one side for about 3 hours!! I looked like Quasimodo!!!

Back to my card and I would like to enter it into the following Challenges:-
Ooh La La Creations - Challenge 104 - 'Make it Manly' ends 13th May 2012
Creative Craft Challenge - Anything Goes ends 14th May 2012
Top Tip Tuesday - Challenge 76 - 'Clean and Simple' ends 21stMay 2012
Divas by Design - Challenge 34 - 'One For the Boys' ends 15th May 2012
Quirky Crafts - Challenge 10 - 'Masculine with Blue and Brown' ends 19th May 2012

Not long until weekend! I really hope the weather improves soon. We should be able to sit outside in garden sipping cocktails at this time of year. I can't believe that it's Wimbledon next month!!

Thank you for all your lovely comments! I will catch up with you all soon.
Love n Hugs

This is gorgeous Sue. Fab colouring. I haven't used my watercolours for yonks either. Not that I was very good with them though.

You picture of Quasimodo made me smile (a little lopsided) as I looked in the mirror and that is exactly how I look. I have had a tooth out today. Can't eat much tonight. I thought I could eat some cottage pie but dentist said NO!!!

Have a good weekend.
