My Crafty Heart DT Card - Let's Dance

Hope you've got your sunglasses at the ready... because this is certainly bright and bold !!! but hopefully it will cheer you up in this dull and miserable weather here in the UK!! Isn't this little lady gorgeous!! You just know she has a mega bubbly personality - I think she has a look of Kylie Minogue about her - well what she might have looked like as a toddler anyway !!! LOL

This fab Mabel Lucie Attwell stamp set is available from My Crafty Heart and is called 'Let's Dance' and it comes complete with sentiments 'Dance and Be Happy' - 'Enjoy Your Day' - 'Happy Birthday' - 'For You' and 'Let's Party' - 'From Me' and also lots of musical notes!!

I decided to go with a pink and lime theme with this card and have used Kaisercraft and Prima papers - see below for details. I wish I'd done the pearls a bit different bottom right but hey ho! never mind. In fact I've got very carried away with the pearls haven't I - ROFL - and also not quite sure why her hair is silver - I think it must be my fever with this cold - it's sending me a bit loopy !!!!

Ingredients used - all available from My Crafty Heart
STAMP :  Mabel Lucie Attwell - 'Let's Dance'
PAPERS: Prima 'Pixie Glen' 6 x 6 pad  and Kaisercraft 'Miss Nelly' 6.5 x 6.5 pad
DIES:       Marianne Design Creatables - Corners LR0143 and  Memory Box 'Scalloped Posie'
LACE:     'The Enchanted Collection'
PEARLS: Melissa Frances 'Trinkets and Baubles Pearls' and Jenni Bowlin 'Cream Cheese Flowers'

Do pop on over to My Crafty Heart - there are some gorgeous new arrivals!!! .........

'New Release' Sarah Kay Stamps and Echo Park 6 x 6 Pads and Prima Flowers - Miss Godivas - More New Colours!! and Restock of Mabel Lucie Attwells!

Coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers:
Skin: Putty, Sunkissed Pink
Hair: Cool Greys 1, 2,  4
Lime Green, Aniseed, Shocking Pink, Sorbet
White Metallic Gel Pen for Spots

I'd like to enter this card into the following Challenges:-
One Stitch At a Time - Challenge 109 - 'Bright' ends 21st April 2012
Fab'n Funky - Challenge 117 - 'Lace and Pearls' ends 24th April 2012
Ooh La La Creations - Challenge 103 - 'Bold and Bright' ends 29th April 2012

Ah well, it's Saturday again - so I really hope you can all relax and have a lovely weekend. It doesn't look like the weather will be improving any time soon, so I will be staying indoors and keeping warm! Today we had thunder and hail that covered the whole street in ice. I've never seen anything like it - there was also a river running down the road - I'm actually wondering whether we should trade our car in for a boat !!!! LOL
Take Care
Love Sue xx

She's a real Miss Pretty Sue! Your mentioning she's looking like Kylie made me look even closer and lo and behold, you're right! There IS something of that singer/dancer in her! No wonder she's such a happy lass. Your card is adorable with the lovely image and rolled up flowers! Big hugs, Ira xox

Hi Sue it has been an awful week here weather wise in Stevenage. I got really soaked to the skin on Thursday, then had to sit in a restaurant having a meal. Lol!!! You have done some awesome cards while I have been away. This one is adorable. Fab colouring and layout.

Hi Sue, what a wonderful card! Love the colours - they certainly are cheerful on the dull, drizzly day that we have today.

Wonderfully cute image (and I sometimes am tempted to go for a different hair colour than the norm, but generally chicken out - so you're braver than me!) and perfectly coloured.

I think the pearls are a great touch as well.

Hope you are feeling better soon.
