MAWTT Challenge 142 - 'Cute 'n' Cuddly'

Good Morning! Hope you are all having a good week! and hope you have managed to enjoy some of the sunshine while it lasts here in UK. I can't believe that it's Thursday again already and time for another wonderful challenge over at.....

So we would like to see your creations with something cute and cuddly on!! It doesn't have to be a card - it could be an altered item, gift box, tag etc, as long as it follows the theme and has something 'cute and cuddly' on it!! :-)

and I have chosen one of Di's beautiful images called 'Special Just For You'. I think the bear is really 'cute 'n' cuddly' and perfect for this challenge!

The gorgeous paper is My Mind's Eye 'Howdy Doody' from My Crafty Heart. Ooh I do love this pad!! it's SO scrummy! Also from My Crafty Heart there are some little peach pearls inbetween the rosebuds, but not sure if you can see them in the photo. They are Hero Arts - 'Sunshine - Mixed Accents' - really pretty and in graduating sizes.

 I've used a Nellie Snellen Die for the border and the sentiment is from Pink Petticoat.

The beautiful lace and dragonfly charm were part of candy from the lovely Sussie and it's so gorgeous that I save it for special cards. The glittery centre flower is from Dies to Die For and the other lovely roses and rosebuds are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

My daughter also got me some lovely Kasbah Glass Fairy Lights which are for when I get my room sorted out - which could take until my 60th at the rate I'm going!! LOL. I also got quite a few paper pads off family and friends so I'm looking forward to using them very soon! I also got some decoupage sheets and toppers. I love doing decoupage and am determined to do more!!!


We took some photos but I am paranoid about my thinning hair and being overweight!!! and when anyone points a camera at me these days, I am like Chandler off Friends!! I pull very strange faces...


When we saw this in the Viewfinder we were crying with laughter!!!!! I look like Benny Hill !!

The fun really started when we tried to open the Champagne. I am usually the one who opens any bubbly in our house, but I was too weak!!!!!! that cork just didn't want to pop!!! LOL Chrissie was waiting to get a photo of the actual 'popping' but she just ended up with a load of photos of me straining and groaning!!! ROFL and she came to the rescue in the end and got the blighter out!!!

My Crafty Heart - DT Card - 'Rainy Days'

Aww how I loved working with this gorgeous Mabel Lucie Attwell image called 'Rainy Days'. It takes me right back to my childhood. Some of you might also have had Story Books with her wonderful illustrations! They are part of a new range of Stamps available from My Crafty Heart! Hope you can pop on over to take a look.

As soon as I saw the image I thought of this paper. It is quite tweedy and reminds me of the 60s!! I'm sure my grandfather used to have a car with seats in a similar design to this? Am I imagining this or does anyone else remember? Anyway, this gorgeous paper is from the pad Little Black Dress by Basic Grey also available from MCH. I've used a strip of similar paper from the pad to create a border around the image and to make a border across the middle.

Colouring: Promarkers & Flexmarkers

Skin: Putty, Sunkissed Pink

Hair: Buttercup, Mustard, Champagne, Cappuccino

Clothes: Apricot, Honeycomb, Cocoa, Caramel

Ducks: Champagne, Antique White

Brolly: Warm Greys

The sentiments were made on computer. I made up the little quote - I know it's a bit twee but it seemed to fit the image!! LOL This is going to be an Anniversary Card for my parents in July and so that was the inspiration. The Mabel Lucie Attwell Stamps do come with some Sentiments and other little elements that are wonderful. With this image you get.... "You Can Share My Umbrella" and "Every Path has it's Puddles" and "You Brighten My Day" and "Thanks for Being There" - also you get an extra little ducky image and an extra puddle and some rain. So you get plenty of value for your money with these stamps!!! They do stamp beautifully and are wonderful to colour too!

I've added a Prima Rose Trim in 'Neutral' and a little Vintage Clock Charm and some Hero Arts Sunshine Mixed Accents Gems and Pearls - all also available from MCH!

They have some beautiful new things in store including Flowersoft some of which is Frosting and is gorgeous!!!! you can see it on Teresa's card here! Also there are some New Prima Pads in store and more on the way - so do look out for those. Also coming soon are Viva Pearl Pens!!! I can't wait to try them!!

MAWTT Challenge 141 - 'Easter Wishes'

Good Morning! Hope everyone is well - I can't believe it's Thursday again already and so time for another wonderful challenge over at.....

So we want to see a card or a gift or altered item etc. with an Easter Theme! I'm really looking forward to seeing all your wonderful creations with this challenge!

who kindly gave us some really cute images to play with!! They are from a set called Bunny Ears and this little girl is called Cindy Ears!! Isn't she adorable....

The papers are from Pink Petticoat. The gorgeous Memory Box Die - 'Modern Landscape Border' and the little resin flowers - 'Dolly Mixture Dreams' are from My Crafty Heart. My wonderful daughter bought me some little bunnies for Christmas - isn't he cute!! The Sentiment was made on computer and I've cut it out with scalloped scissors and outlined edges with Sakura blue glitter pen. 

I tried something a bit different with this image. I coloured it digitally with a pale base colour and then coloured over and shaded with Prisma Pencils. I definitely need more practice with the pencils!!! There were going to be two images on this card but I made a right mess of the the first and it went in the bin. But I think it was probably just as well because I wouldn't have been able to fit my bunny on and those gorgeous flowers!! and she kind of fits in well with the landscape background on her own.

Well I have to say that all of the above applies to ALL my followers!! I have made so many wonderful friends blogging. All my Followers have been wonderful and your comments and support means so much to me!!! 

I have been a bit under the weather since Christmas, I had an ecg and echocardiogram which showed I had an enlarged heart and left ventricle. I had really high blood pressure and high cholesterol and so had to rethink my whole health regime. 

Anyway, thinks are looking much better now. I am on new ace inhibitor tablets which are helping a lot. I have had quite a few side effects with them, but I reckon they are worth putting up with - better than having a stroke or heart attack!!! I am also on a low-fat diet!! so it's Weight Watchers desserts instead of rich cream cakes!!! 

However, I will be having a little reprieve for my birthday!!!! :-)  Well I can't celebrate my 50th without a little glass of bubbly and some choccies!!! Hee hee - can't wait !!! only a week to go!!! So don't forget to enter my Birthday Candy if you haven't already!

So we would like to see a card for a 'special lady' in your life - it could be your mum, sister, daughter, gran, aunt, friend etc.... 

With Mother's Day fast approaching I have chosen to make a card for my mum. I know it's very bright and bold but that is what my mum loves. She hates drab and dreary. So I think you can safely say that this card is not dull!!! LOL

I chose 'Sparkles' as I thought she would go really well with this Kate Knight paper that I know my mum really loves. I've had this pad for ages - it was a freebie on magazine and you got quite a few pages of each pattern. The border is done with a Nellie Snellen die and the lovely ribbon is from MeiFlower. 

The gorgeous Prima Polka Dot Flower and the little Hero Arts Gemstones are from My Crafty Heart. The sentiment was made on computer.

I've coloured her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and then added lots of Star Dust Stickles to her wings. She really does 'sparkle' in real life!!!

My Crafty Heart - DT Card - 'Sweet Eline's - Flower'

 Hello, hope you are all well... it's been a lovely sunny day today! Just how I like it - not too hot but you can feel the warmth of the sun! I had a lovely crafting afternoon today and finished off this card.  The gorgeous image is a Nellie Snellen stamp called 'Sweet Eline's - Flower' - isn't she adorable!! A dream to stamp and wonderful to colour!!

I've used some Kaisercraft - 'Miss Nelly' papers. They are really lush and remind me of Summer. I've kept my colouring soft and used pastel shades as she looks such a delicate and dainty fairy!! and I've added some of my favourite Ultra Fine Glitter in 'Candy Floss' on her wings.

So we would like to see cute images and buttons!!

who very kindly gave us some cute images to work with and I chose Lenny Bee! Isn't he adorable? He has his own little pot of honey!

This is the first mini card that I have made using a Large Circle Nestie. They are fun to do and a little bit addictive!! The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat and I've added it in alongside the image. The little flower was made with Nellie Snellen punch. I don't have many buttons and so had to raid my mum's sewing box, yet again! I found this little green button and so gave it a quick polish!! The frog button is more recent and from my stash.

Hello!!!

Sorry that I can't visit anyone or email at the moment :-(  I have been trying all day - but my internet connection keeps cutting out altogether, or else it takes about 5 minutes for every page to load. It's not doing my blood pressure much good, so I'm abandoning it now and going to watch Upstairs Downstairs!!!

Sitting Pretty - DT My Crafty Heart

Hello! hope you are all enjoying the weekend! Well we definitely had a glimpse of Spring in past few days!  It's been lovely to see the sunshine and hear the blackbird singing it's little heart out!! But it's changed now - back to dull and rainy! 

I've made this card with the lovely Gorjuss girl called 'Sitting Pretty' - she is just one of the new stamps at My Crafty Heart. I love the Gorjuss girls - and they all stamp like a dream!! Click on the links to see them!

I'm not altogether happy with this card - I think I've made a mess of the ribbon and fence!!! it seemed to look ok last night but now it looks SO crooked!!! but then I suppose some fences are !!! LOL It doesn't look quite so bad in real life!! Honest!

Anyway, the gorgeous paper at the top is 'Howdy Doody' by My Minds Eye. This pad is SO lush - I love it!! The bottom paper is Prima - 'Pixie Glen' and they are just two of the many delish pads over at My Crafty Heart - if you want to see more click here!

And I love this new 'Modern Landscape Border' by Memory Box SO much!! it's perfect for Spring and Easter cards. Lots more ideas for using this..... !! The fab 'Wrought Iron Fence' and  beautiful 'Scalloped Posie' are also by Memory Box. All these dies are available from My Crafty Heart - click on links for details!

I've used some little resin flowers called 'Dolly Mixture Dreams' and my favourite 'Kaisercraft Sparklets - Saffron' - again all available from My Crafty Heart. Just click on links and take a peek!

Hotshot Craft Challenge - Challenge 5 - 'Ribbon'

I have just caught up with two episodes of new series of Upstairs Downstairs - and have to say I'm impressed!! It seems much better than the first series and I love the humour in it!! Now I'm going to watch some of my Little House on The Prairie Box Set. I'm now onto Season 5 - and one thing I've noticed - didn't Charles Ingalls take his shirt off a lot !!!!  LOL Ah well, never mind - he was quite buff !!!
