It's Beginning to Feel a Lot Like Christmas ......

As promised here is my little Klonstsmide Christmas Tree!! It's very small but I think it's got more lights on than Blackpool Illuminations LOL

it's SO pretty!! and so easy to put up!!

If you want to make it look more elegant you can change the disc and have white lights that glisten instead of the colours.

Just in case you want to see it in action...

and thought you might like to see this photo of my beautiful daughter Christina. She went to a Venetian Masked Ball at Tatton Park (posh stately home up North!!) on Friday evening for her boyfriend's Christmas Works 'Do'. She wore this lovely black dress and said she wished she had a shrug or cardigan.

Well, like a Fairy Godmother, my mum whisked out this Vintage Black Lace Shrug!! Apparently it was my Gt Grandmothers!!! I didn't know it existed! LOL Anyway, she looked gorgeous as her Prince Charming whisked her off to the Ball. I wanted to take a photo of her beautiful diamante mask but she'd packed it away until she got to her boyfriends. Oh and she said it was snowing when she got there and reindeer were roaming the grounds! How cool is that!!

She has gone up to Yorkshire now to stay at her boyfriend's parents until next Wednesday, then she is coming home for Christmas!! I've not seen much of her for the past few months as she has been working hard on her Phd and doing some teaching. So will be nice just to chill out and watch tv together and have some nice food!

Really enjoyed Strictly and I think in the end the right person won. But also think Brucie was right in a way... it was very, very close this year and they were all winners really!!

I am feeling a little better today and it definitely feels more Christmassy now that I've got my tree up!

Going to watch Songs of Praise at 4.30pm and sing a few carols.... and then watch Countryfile as it's a special Christmas edition.

Anybody who is worried about cooking the Christmas Dinner and impressing the In Laws? then watch the first 5 minutes of this video from the 60s.... it's classic..

Fanny Craddock

Hope everyone is ok and well.
See ya soon!
Love Sue xx

Such a cute little tree! We also have a small one now; only 3ft high, compared to the one we had before, 6ft. However, we got rid of that one before moving to the US and now that we're back, our new living room is too small to host a giant tree. I miss our large tree. It was beautiful with 200 white lights and loads and loads of baubles, all silver, and then some icicles. It was fun decorating the little tree though; we haven't used our small figurines for many years, so it was great seeing them again after all this time.

Take care,
S.

P.S. Only 2 more to go now... :-)

Hi Sue :)

My decs went up on the 5th, it takes so long to do that I insist they go up early else its not worth the effort! lol :)

Your sparkly tree looks great and what a clever idea to be able to change the disc for different effects! :)

Beautiful pic, so glad your daughter had a smashing time.

We have more snow here today. Glasgow was grand, its great to see a little hustle and bustle from time to time, kind of helps you re-connect with the world for a bit. Then its much nicer to get home from all the madness to some peace, quiet and no people! :) Did I mention we are hermits - LOL!

I also watched Strictly - never ever watched an episode before, but it was broadcast in 3d so I thought worth a look. It was stunning and just got better and better, though I did want the girl from Waterloo Road to win :) she is adorable.

I am lucky that one of my xmas pressies is to go out for christmas dinner ;) best. present. ever! lol.

Have a smashing week hun, oh, and I see that Ray Winstone is playing you in a new version of OT over xmas! ;)

hugs

Your daughter looks gorgeous and what a family treasure that beautiful lace shrug! The party sounds fab and very posh - reindeer roaming in the grounds indeed! Lol
Strictly was amazing, the highest standard yet, I thought Jason was brilliant in the first part, all that energy for a man of our age!

Both your tree and your Daughter look gorgeous Sue. Glad you are feeling better now for Christmas. I have started a nasty cold which always goes to my joints as I have Rheumatoid so I do feel a bit sorry for myself today. Should have been visiting relatives today but had to put it off.

Have a fabulous Christmas sweetie.

Hi Sue, I've been away for the weekend and, although we had a lovely time, I'm now running round like a mad woman trying to get everything sorted!

Your tree is very pretty indeed! Your daughter looks lovely and what a precious gift from her Nan! It's amazing what lovely things we nan's give to our granddaughters - completely bypassing our daughters, lol!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and all the best for 2012.
