Mmmm.... Strawberries and Cream!

It's Wimbledon next week! So I was pleased to see the challenge of 'Strawberries and Cream' at  Whiff of Joy and Crafts 4 Eternity.  Also, I love Strawberries, especially dipping them in white chocolate and allowing them to set!! Mmmm....

The gorgeous image is 'Willow with Strawberry Basket' by Whiff of Joy and is by Elisabeth Bell!! I do love her designs. The image is mounted on Nellie Snellen oval die.

The backing paper is Nitwits Collection, Strawberry Social - Leaves. The gorgeous pink card across the middle is Sherbet Pips Flittered Card (try saying that quickly!!) - Velvet Pink, and has lovely raised glittery dots. Papermania Cream Card was used for the Trellis Border using Martha Stewart Punch and for the swirls which were done on Creatables Die. Yay, I treated myself to a flourish !!! I had to order some ink and thought to make the postage worthwhile, I will buy a swirl !!! LOL (that's my excuse anyway!)

(Promarkers by name, Copics by No.)

Skin: Copic E00 and R20
Hair: Tan and Cinnamon, Prisma Pencils (and other Copics I forget which, I kept tweaking!)
Dress: Meadow Green, Apple,
Apples: Copic G85 and Pear Green
Underskirt: R20 and Pastel Pink
Basket: Tan
Strawberries: R46 and Clear Star Sakura Glitter Pen
(what a mish mash! LOL)

The gorgeous roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Strawberry Charm is from Simon Says Stamps and is part of prize that I won a while back. Buttons, bow and red sentiment die topper are from stash. Sentiment is from a Molly Blooms stamp set that I got free with magazine. I've found that I use it a lot as it is really nice size!

I would like to enter this into the following Challenges:-

Crafts 4 Eternity - Challenge 23 - 'Strawberries and Cream' (ends 9am 17th June 2011)
Totally PaperCrafts - Challenge 70 - 'Summer'  (ends 16th June 2011
Sweet Stampin - 'Food Glorious Food'  (ends 17th June 2011)
The Crafty Pad - Challenge 125 -  'Just Because You Can' (ends 18th June 2011)
Top Tip Tuesday - Challenge 38 - 'Open Challenge' (ends 20th June 2011)
Whiff of Joy - Challenge 106 - 'Strawberries and Cream' (ends 21st June 2011)

Ah well, let's hope that the rain goes away next week for Wimbledon and Glastonbury, and for anybody who is going away on holiday!

Just realised that I hadn't updated my profile. It said that I was 47. Wasn't sure whether to just leave it, then when I get to 60 it would still say 47!!! tee hee.

Thanks for visiting and for all your lovely comments!
Love Sue xx

Sue you are funny! I'm still giggling about your profile comment - still being 47 when your 60 lol I like the sound of that as I'm 50 this year!!
Your card is super - the trellis with the strawberries is inspired I would never have thought of that and with your flourishes and sentiments its all perfectly balanced. You have done a super job here, you could enter it at MAWTT as 'Strawberry Fields Forever' and Oldie But A Goodie as 'Wimbledon' LOl I can't look at a card without thinking of a song today!!!

My daughter is back from her travels next week just in time for all 3 of my kids to head off to Glastonbury - Lucky them this is about the 5th time they have been and I never have - I'm always working!

Gorgeous colour combination. Love this card and the image is adorable. I really love the oval frame you used too and the lattice fencing. I think I have that lattice SVG, but never thought of using it that way.

Hi Sue,

Hope you've had a good weekend. Thanks for your visits - your comments are always appreciated. This is such a sweet card; I have this stamp myself and I think I've only used it once before - shame on me! The pink and red work so well together, and the lay out is wonderful. Love those tiny polka dot buttons - they're perfect for this card!
