I had a lot of fun making this card! I put on some Jimi Hendrix and Joni Mitchell for inspiration! I've combined two main stamps. "Dusty the Camper Van" is a digi stamp from
Squidgi Digi. And the rocker digi stamp is called "Groove Dude" from
Kenny K. I still can't get it fixed in my head that it's Kenny K!! I keep googling a certain well-known saxaphone player by mistake, duh!
I distressed the edges of papers. The background flower paper is from Trimcraft Smirk Love and Friendship stack. Not sure if it shows up in photo but it is lovely and glittery!! I drew the backdrop hill and tree on computer digitally. Hand drew some apples, coloured with Crayola Pencils (blush!!!) I don't have any Prismacolour ones yet !!! then put some glossy accents on to make them shiny.
The flowers are from
Wild Orchid Crafts and coloured with Pastel Blue Promarker and Stardust Stickled. The bee, frog, bow and gems are from stash. The butterflies are cut out from another paper in the same stack. The Blue Tit is a digital image from
Stitchy Bear Stamps which is a gorgeous image and so I am not completely happy with it being so small as it is not shown off to it's full advantage! But I didn't want a massive three foot Blue Tit sat in the apple tree !!!! rofl..... I will have to do another card with the poor little thing as centre stage!!!
The fab "Flower Power" Bottle Capz are by Dovecraft, and are Retro Selection. I tried different sentiments and they all seemed to ruin the scene, man! so I have left it open so you could maybe write inside - You Rock My World! or something similar. When I was cutting out Dusty the Camper Van I had a slight mishap with the wing mirror!! So you will have to imagine that a Ford Fiesta clipped it while overtaking en route to festival !!
I have also decorated the inside with papers from the Smirk stack:
I apologise for drawing on the Smirk faces. They are probably not supposed to be drawn on! but I might give this card to my daughter for one of her friends and she insists on all faces having eyes, nose and mouth!!! No Tildas or Edwins for her then! tee hee.
Colouring for Dusty The Camper Van and Groove Dude:
Forest Green, Pastel Blue, Cornflower, Cool Grey 5, Yellow Promarkers and Copic R46
Stardust Stickle
