MAWTT - So 80's

Hello... it's the turn of Team B over at

and our lovely Lena is hosting the challenge this week with a brilliant theme of.....

  So 80's
Go crazy with neons or pastels (a la Miami Vice)
black and white geometrics /asymmetrics
whatever you think of when you think of the 80's

I absolutely loved the 80's and have lots of very happy memories of this fab decade!! :-))

I found this wonderful image from Lemon Shortbread... it really made me chuckle as I had a very brief phase in the 80's where I used to wear a red and white polka dot ra ra skirt... teamed with a denim jacket. I also had red shoes with bows on!!! so I cut out two of the hair bows a bit smaller to add to the shoes in the image! Thankfully there is no photographic evidence of me in this get-up!! not that I know of anyway!! Lol.

Papers: Design House Digital
Colouring Pens: Promarkers, Copics, Flexmarkers, Chameleon
Sentiment: Computer generated

I hope you can pop over to our main site at MAWTT and see the rest of the Team's wonderful 80's creations!!
You have until Wednesday 11th May 6pm BST. Three entries per person and please, no back-linking.

This is a scheduled post as we have builders in doing the kitchen at the moment. I'm sure it will be wonderful when it's completed but it's hard going at the moment. The kitchen is the hub of the house, so it's been quite difficult re-locating all our gadgets. The kettle and brew stuff is upstairs... and in the living room?.... the toaster is on the sideboard, and the microwave is on the TV Unit!!! So at moment we have riveting night's viewing of watching the Chicken Curry going around and around!! ROFL.

I will catch up with you as soon as I can.
Love and hugs

LOL! I so wish facebook was on the go in the 80's then that outfit would have been captured for all to see - sounds a bit Bananarama to me...that indeed was a fun decade!
Lovely interpretation of the theme Sue, a great image choice and as always a brilliant card. Hope the builders will be gone soon and you get your kitchen back, can't be long now...can it? Jx

Put me on to your Mum, I am sure she must have one stashed away somewhere.
Brilliant card, great image and love what you have done with the bows and the strips of different colours.
I don't remember the 80'd being neon's and pastels, thought it was all Wham, ABC, Spandau Ballet.
Have a great weekend.

Hey Sue, sorry I have been a stranger, its been CHAOS. I am laughing about your living room set-up sounds exactly like ours was when we had our kitchen done. Love the card, I want to see a photo of you in that get-up..I know I wore some very strange things back then. The death of Prince prompted my mother to send me a photo of me in a purple jumpsuit (lycra skintight) with purple suede fringed knee high boots..the absolute horror of my Prince phase. Cx

A super card Sue, such a fabulous image and lovely bright papers - you have certainly captured the 80's theme.
I hope your kitchen is soon completed - I know what it is like having to manage without one and it's not easy at all.

Fabulous card Sue, love that image and the beautiful colouring. I feel for you having the kitchen done, I can remember everything all over the dining room when we had ours done, rummaging through boxes to find things!! Hope you are soon sorted. Have a good weekend anyway.
