Valentine Rose Garden

Hi all,
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
Hope you are all having a good weekend... huge hugs to those who are unwell or going through difficult times.

I've finally managed to do a bit of colouring and crafting... and made these two Valentine's Cards... one for my daughter and one for my mum.

I have huge stack of papers that came free with magazines... so I'm trying to use some of them up. I searched through for some that matched my colouring and found some very pretty Damask Rose papers by Jennifer Ellory. I was gonna make both cards with the green paper but the flip side of this paper was purple/cream and it also matched really nicely.. so thought I'd use it on my mum's card as she loves purple.

The stamp set is called Clear Impressions Rose Garden and was part of the fab candy that I won off the lovely Jo last year.

In the set you get loads of images that you can merge together to make a scene.

Coloured with Copics. I've added some stickles to the water in the fountain.

Two very simple cards but boy did I enjoy making them, especially the colouring as I've not done any for a long while :-))

I still haven't got very much time for crafting/blogging with one thing and another. Thanks for your good wishes from my last post... I've finally recovered from my chest infection... but now my mum isn't too well. So I'm giving her lots of TLC and spending some time with her.

At least we have had a bit of sunshine here in Manchester over last few days... nice to have it lighter in the mornings and evenings! the dry and sunny weather make me feel so much better... so roll on Spring!!
Take Care
Love and hugs

Two beautiful cards Sue, the images are gorgeous as is the colouring. Hope your Mum is soon feeling much better. Another lovely sunny day here too a little bit cold but so much better than all that rain, and when the sun shines it is light until gone 5pm which is great. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Beautiful cards!

You are so kind taking care of your Mum and I fully understand your wait for dry and sunny weather. This rainy and cold weather is not good for the joints or any rheumatic issues. Good that you feel better from the chest problem.

I wish you a happy week!
Hugs
Sussie

Two fabulous card and a great scene you have made with the images, both look equally as nice which ever way round the paper is.
Happy Valentine's Day to you too and glad that you are feeling better, hope Mum does very soon as well.

Dead shocked to read about Mr Bates, wouldn't have thought he was an alcoholic, bet Tom isn't.
Have a good week.

Two really pretty cards Sue, I bet your Mum and Daughter both loved them too. Sorry I am not about a lot but I am still up and down to the hospital with hubby and caring for him. Our daughter is coming over from France next Wednesday for a few days because she is so worried about him. I seem to have less and less time to my self at the moment.
Hope your Mum feels better soon.

I recognize those papers,I think I've got some left of the purple only. Isn't it amazing what a difference they make, here we have two very similar designs, but the colors make the cards look so different. The power of colors never ceases to amaze me...

Hi Sue, thanks for your lovely comment.
I watched the new Julian Fellows thing on Sunday night Dr, Thorne and quite enjoyed it, obviously not a patch on Downtown, but I will see it through.
Hope your Home improvements are nearly finished and that you and your Mum are vastly improved health wise.
