MAWTT - Anything Goes!!!

Yay!! We're back!!!
 at

Moving Along With the Times

Well it feels really good to be back after our Summer break.... and to celebrate our return we have both A and B Teams combining for a theme that you will all love!!

Anything Goes!!

Yes, you can make anything crafty that you like ... your world is your oyster!! :-))

We are sponsored this week by the wonderful Sir Stampalot!

and the winner will receive this fab prize!

I hope you can hop on over to our main site at MAWTT for more details and to see the rest of the Team's wonderful creations this week... lots and lots of gorgeous inspiration for you!!

I thought I would make a card using my new Kite Die from Memory Box. I have lots of happy memories of  kite flying in Autumn at our local park... and do you remember those balsa wood glider kits that you got in comics that slotted together? I used to love them so much.... I was very easily amused!! LOL

I've used a digital image from Whiff of Joy which is called Henry with Vintage Kite... but I've cropped off the kite part of the image... so that I could add my new MB Die. The die cut kite looked a bit plain and so I added a piece of patterned paper and some strips of card to look like wood...

Image: Whiff of Joy - 'Henry with Vintage Kite'
Papers: First Edition - 'Sweet Owl'
Sentiment: LOTV Black & White Sketch Pad
Flower: Prima
Die Cuts: Leaves - Marianne Design Flower Set and 'Summer Kites' - Memory Box
Nailheads: JosyRose

I've coloured cute little Henry with Kurecolor Markers

Well it really feels like Autumn now and the nights are drawing in....I can't believe it's October!!! where on earth did September go.

My dad moved into the Nursing Home on Monday and is settling in... he was very tired and bit disorientated at first but is now getting to know the staff who seem lovely.  He has lost so much weight though during the 10 weeks in hospital and we are really hoping he will start eating a bit more. The Chef made him a special omelette yesterday and he also had some ice cream which he has wanted for a while now. He has a lovely room with a view of garden.

It's been very tiring this week as we are getting used to new routine for visiting, shopping etc. We all feel quite shattered... but I'm sure that once we get adjusted it will be ok. Again, big apologies if I haven't got around to visiting...I'm trying to fit in a bit more commenting. I really do appreciate all your comments and support!

I was so tired on Saturday that I fell asleep and missed beginning of Strictly!!! LOL can you believe after me raving on about it so much?  so I watched it on Catch Up, Sunday. Ooh Julien Macdonald needs to calm down a bit!! I laughed so much at the Hairy Biker though - he had Mick Jagger's strut down to a T! I think there will be quite a few good dancers this year.

I hope you are all keeping well and if not then I hope things improve for you very soon.
Take Care
Sending love and hugs

Hi Sue a fabulous card today! Love the cute image - what a doll! Your new kite die is fabulous! I love kite flying, I bought one for my grandson but when I went down last month there was no wind! I told him I was bringing it back here so we could fly it when he came up as there is always wind in Blackpool!! So pleased your Dad is settling in and the staff are nice. I am sure he will put his weight back on. I hope you can manage to get your breath back now that things are more on an even keel! Take care Susan xx

How delightful!! I love this little guy! I also love the block pattern of your background, fabulous card Sue. Well I am happy your dad is settling in and soon you will feel relaxed and knowing he is happy and in a good place, a Chef, how nice and to look at a garden, truely he will be enjoying the surroundings as he adjusts. I commend you for helping him out as us daughters are just going to do that anyways, but you are good and I see the love you have for him. I have been there only my mom busted herself out early and I cannot do anything unless I take it to court and say she is incompetent which she is not at this time. She has Dementia, my dad is very weak with his illnesses but they survive together and if I am there when they need me, that is what counts.
Bravo to you girl for taking care of your dad and don't worry about us, we understand!
Big Hugs to you, Kelly
