Hi... I'm here again with some more inspiration for our Challenge over at..

Moving Along With The Times

and just in case you haven't heard already ...we are celebrating our 3rd Birthday!!! Woo Hoo!! and to celebrate we are having a theme of....

'Happy Birthday'

So we want to see your creations for a 'Happy Birthday' - it doesn't have to be a card... could be a gift.. a tag.. bag...cake...etc. as long as we can see that it follows a 'Birthday' theme!! 

We have some fab prizes to celebrate ... and you have until 8pm BST Wednesday 4th July 2012. We really hope lots of you can join in the fun and make it a big celebration!! 

This time I have made a Gift Bag using a gorgeous digi image from The Crafty Pad.. called 'Lulu with Cake'

I found a Template online and digitally filled it with Design Paper from Bearly Mine Designs. It's the first time I've made a Gift Bag and it's not perfect so don't look too closely at those edges!!! I had a template but no instructions!!! So I did make a few mistakes... but managed to unstick it and re-do it. 

I've used ribbon that I've had in my stash Forever!!!!!!!!!!!! for handles... LOL the colours don't go with very much but they were perfect to go with this paper...

On the reverse I've printed and coloured Happy birthday..

I've coloured Lulu with Promarkers and Flexmarkers...

It was nice to do something different and I might have another go.. you learn by your mistakes... so hopefully my next one will be even better!! :-))

It's another blustery, showery day here in North West England .. so perfect for Crafting...!!  Off to play with some new stamps that have just arrived... I was lucky enough to win a Whiff of Joy Challenge a couple of weeks back and my prize was voucher for Simon Says Stamp. I chose some nice Christmas Stamps to do some more embossing!! :-)) The parcel came SO quickly from USA - it only took 6 days !!!! I am well impressed!!

Hello... Hope you are all doing ok... I'm here with another card for...

Moving Along With The Times

and in case you don't know already - it's our 3rd Birthday!!! and so we're having an extra special Challenge lasting a fortnight with lots of really fab prizes... and of course the theme is ... 

'Happy Birthday'

I have used one of their stamps called 'Busy In The Garden' and it's so perfect for a Summer Birthday!

I've paper pieced her overalls to match the Backing Paper which is from Raspberry Road - 'Summer Goodness' Papers. I coloured the image with Copics and Promarkers. Then masked and ink dusted the background with Tim Holtz 'Wild Honey' and Memento 'Bahama Blue'. Sentiment is from 'Happy Circular Sentiments Set' LOTV and I've printed it onto some leftover paper and mounted on Nestie. The fancy border is Memory Box 'Pepita Border' available at My Crafty Heart. 

The other Gardening embellies... the Fork, The Sun Hat and the Butterfly are from a John Lewis set that my daughter bought me last year... Thank You hun!!

Here's a card I made for the lovely Nicole to say Thank You for the lovely card and presents that she sent me...

My daughter bought me some gorgeous decoupage sheets for my Birthday... this is from an Art Deco Set... I've added some lace and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The gorgeous orange flower is a Prima one from Bunny Zoes. Also my favourite Marianne Anja Leaves and some pretty Flutter Bits butterflies and Gems from My Crafty Heart. There's also a little heart charm from my stash nestled beneath flowers on left....Sentiment was made on computer.

It's always hard to show decoupage in photo ... and it looks nicer in real life... not sure why the leaves have come out such a strange colour - they are green irl !!!!! but the light was really bad when I took the photos so had to use my light box!!

For inspiration this week I have made a card using a gorgeous digi image from My Crafty Heart....

She has been drawn by the very talented Teresa and is called 'Celebration Girl'. She is just perfect for a special Birthday Celebration!! I've coloured her with Promarkers and Paper-Pieced the dress... the gorgeous paper is Basic Grey - 'Little Black Dress'. As it's her 21st she has to have some Champagne! ;-) so I've added some Stickles to her glass of bubbly! 

The gorgeous flower is Prima Dollhouse Collection - 'Goddess' and I've added a leaf using Marianne Design - Anja Leaves 2 - I really love these leaves...!! :-)) I've added some crystal gems to her shoes - Hero Arts 'small mixed gemstones' and finally some pearls which are from the new MeiFlower range at MCH. I've not gone overboard with the embellies as I wanted to keep it Elegant and Classy... I have decorated inside to match too!

My Crafty Heart DT Card - 'Sofia'

I couldn't resist using this gorgeous stamp 'Sofia Wishes' by Sarah Kay again... this time I have used one of my favourite colour combo's Purple and Yellow... it's very bright I know!! LOL but I wanted it to be like a beautiful Summer's Day!!! (remember those!!) and I have to say it does remind me of when we used to go walking down the meadows near where we live... lots of pretty flowers and butterflies...

I masked her and ink dusted the background to look like sky and hilly fields.... and I have to say a big Thank You to Jo who very kindly sent me some picket fences.... thanks hun they are just perfect! I am finally getting the hang of the Viva Pearl Pen... after quite a bit of practice... LOL and so I have added some decoration to the fences... I loved using these new Memory Box dies and also the Leaf which is from a set by Marianne Designs (see below for link) - I LOVE these leaves SO much - they are such a nice size!! I've coloured the Hibiscus Flower and Honey Blossom Sprig with Promarkers and added some Ultra Fine Glitter to Sprig.

I haven't been feeling very 'tickety boo' lately - as Bunny used to say from Eldorado!!! does anyone remember that show!! LOL Anyway, I got a lovely surprise yesterday when my friend Nicole sent me these lovely goodies...

A beautiful card... a  gorgeous bag which is all hand sewn and beautifully lined.. and a sachet scented with Jasmin Tea which is SO heavenly... I Love them all !!

Look at all the detail in the card... it's SO beautiful with the lovely vintage photo and scrummy lace!!

Ah well... another of my good buddies Laurie suggested that we move Wimbledon to Manchester on account of the sunshine we had yesterday!!! Hmmm... well... it didn't last very long did it!! Kraft card is a neutral/brownish card as you can see in my card below... but if you don't have proper kraft card I'm sure you could find something very similar - I have used a Manilla envelope in the past...

We were given some mega cute images to play with and I have used 'Crissy and Ice Cream' - isn't she sweet!! The gorgeous papers are called 'Pink Lemonade' by Jen Allyson. I just thought they were perfect for this image and with the Kraft. Quite a simple layout and not too many embellies because I wanted to post it...

I've coloured Crissy with Promarkers and added some Star Dust Stickles to Ice Cream!

My Crafty Heart DT - Wildflowers

I had to make a quick Thank You card and so thought I would get a bit 'arty' and get the Distress Inks out again. It's first time I've done anything like this and I think there is plenty of room for improvement!! but it's supposed to be sand dunes with sky background and wildflowers!! I've used one of the gorgeous new Memory Box Stamps available from My Crafty Heart... this one is called 'Whisper Print Wildflower'. The rubber stamps are wooden mounted and print beautifully... 

I was inspired by the wonderful cards that Maarit has done with masking technique and so thought I would have a go at it... I used my inkduster brushes but I think I need to be a bit bolder as the sky is a bit wishy washy. I got braver when I got down to the dunes and think they look quite good... I had terrible trouble photographing this card. I've tried every kind of light and still not happy with photos!!! but after 4 days trying... I have given up and this is as good as it's gonna get!!!! LOL

I created masks for the sun/moon, clouds and dunes... then printed three flowers using Bundled Sage Distress Ink. Then printed two with clear embossing ink and used Verdigris Embossing Powder on it and used heat gun... it's the first time I've tried this embossing technique and I love it !!! it looks so pretty!! The paper is some 12 x 12 that I got recently and I can't remember where...

Happy Father's Day!

Good evening... hope you have all had a good weekend despite the weather!! Although it has brightened up today in Manchester UK and we've actually had some sun peeping through!! LOL

I coloured this image a few weeks ago and thought it would look nice on a Father's Day Card... 

The wonderful image is from Stitchy Bear Stamps and called 'In the Harbour'. Paper was a freebie with magazine.  It's quite a simple design and so I've added a few shells for interest... coloured with Promarkers and I've used a Blender Pen to create clouds...

I decided to try something different and use the Pepita Border to look like grasses? not sure whether it has worked though? keep changing my mind as to whether I like it or not!! LOL I do love these new Indie Chic MME Papers though - I find it hard to break into them.... and I've used one of my favourite flowers - they are So pretty...like jewels....

The gorgeous Willow has been coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I masked her to create the sky background and used a cloud template and Memento Bahamas Blue Ink. As she was floating in the clouds... I had to make a grass border... hope it's not too naff !!! LOL

'Anything BUT a card'

So we want to see Tags, Bookmarks, Boxes, Journals.... anything BUT a card... I have to say I panicked a little as I have got so used to making the same old square cards... but it's nice to do something different for a change and thought I would have a go at making a bookmark... well I got a bit carried away and made a few... but here is the one that I made for this week's challenge...

We are sponsored this week by the fabulous Stitchy Bear Stamps who are very kindly giving this week's winner a $10 Dollar Voucher to spend in store!! Lots of lovely images to choose from...

 they also gave us some fab images to play with and I chose this image called Shaded Flower Border VI  - it's perfect for a Bookmark!!

I've coloured the fab image with Promarkers. These flowers really remind me of Summer and so I thought I'd create a hazy sunshine background with Distress Inks. I've got loads of Tim Holtz inks and I hardly ever use them... so...

On the image I masked the flowers and distressed background with Tim Holtz Dies in Spiced Marmalade and  Wild Honey.

Printed out the background - I used some lovely honey-coloured paper from Raspberry Road kit called Summer Goodness Papers and also added the pom pom border and flower from Elements kit. Also added the quote from one of my favourite authors Elizabeth Chadwick!! :-)) Then printed it all out and mounted onto card. 

I've not added any more embellies because of design and it going inbetween pages. I have to keep my books in pristine condition!!! LOL - I am a complete bookworm...
