My Crafty Heart DT - A Little Bit Of Country

Howdie Pardners! Today I'd like to share this card for My Crafty Heart. Teresa has some wonderful new stamps and dies in store over at MCH. Sarah Kay and Whiff of Joy!!! Wow! how wonderful is that - I'm so excited about these new goodies!

This image is 'A Little Bit of Country' by Sarah Kay and I really love it!! Hope you do too.... this little lady has done very well for herself at the country barn dance - as she has copped off with The Sheriff!!!! LOL The wooden fence background is supposed to be broken btw!! you can make up your own story of how it got broken !!!! LOL and not sure if it quite works? but hey ho - it's how I envisaged it when designing the card. I have used 3D foam pads to lift the wooden panel.

I was determined to have a picket fence on this card. But this fence went in and out of the rubbish bin three times!! LOL The fence itself is from a digital Raspberry Road set which I printed and cut out. It took ages to cut out though!!! never again!!  Next month I am buying a picket fence die!! I can't order any more this month I have gone way over budget!! Tut Tut!! Not sure what came over me but I've been buying here, there and everywhere - I felt I needed cheering up!! and yes it did the job!! hee hee!!  but I have banned myself from any shopping for 2 weeks!!

I've been colouring with Promarkers for a while so thought I would go back to Copics for this one and also I have loads of brown shades in Copics.

I got into big trouble with the family yesterday (Friday). I thought I'd try out a new shop for some crafting goodies. Well the Courier knocked up the whole family at 7.30am!! Now I got up really quick - in my PJ's - but the stupid man didn't allow one second even to get to the door and was like ding dong, ding dong, ding dong, ding dong, hammer, hammer, hammer, hammer on the porch (you get the picture) - So the whole house (who are ill ) was like 'what the ? is going on'

I tell you - if I was a bloke, I would have smacked the courier guy right in his noggin!!! LOL

Lovely and peaceful today - dull, rainy and miserable again but perfect for crafting or staying in and watching TV!!

Anyway, hope you like this little card as much as I enjoyed making it !!

MAWTT Challenge 146 - 'Garden/Flowers'

'Garden/Flowers'

I know you are going to love this challenge and am really looking forward to seeing all your wonderful creations. Remember it doesn't have to be a card - it can be an altered item, tag, gift box etc. as long as it follows the theme and has something to do with the garden or flowers.

Stitchy Bear Stamps very kindly gave us some digis to play with and I chose this beautiful image called 'Lily Circle'. I decided to make a Sympathy Card as I need to widen my range of themes. I have also used another image from Stitchy called 'Celtic Frame 1' which I've coloured digitally with a green maple leaf texture.

 

The paper was also from Stitchy. I have quite a few paper packs that I have never used!!! This pack was part of a prize Collaboration I won about a year ago - I was just looking through and thought this would look good with the Lily! So this paper is my item over 6 months old for Oldie But A Goodie Challenge!! (hope paper counts) The Tag is from Digital Scrapbook Place but I have digitally changed the colour to green and added a sentiment.

The pearls are from stash and the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The image is coloured with Prisma Pencils. I've not blended with Sansodor or Baby Oil as I'm trying to get the hang of just shading using different pressures.

I used some 'Tiara' Glitz Stickles on the stamens as it is very sparkly and has a gorgeous mink tinge to it. On the leaves I've used 'Waterfall' Stickles as I've found this looks good on top of blue or green!! :-))

 I've also decorated inside with the same paper and added a sentiment.

I finally feel like I'm getting over my cold but now the rest of the household has got it !!! It's a really horrid virus that affects your chest. I had to get up in the night as my mum and dad were really bad and both coughing and wheezing like mad - so I'm really tired today... 

I'm going to schedule this for the morning and I really hope Blogger works this time!! The new interface is really odd - it seems to want you to re-set your location for every post that you schedule?? It would be great if you were Phileas Fogg!!! LOL

Teddy Bea - Pink and Brown

As I wanted to make a 50th Birthday Card for a friend - I thought I'd combine a few challenges. So I've used this gorgeous Sketch SSS95 for the Sweet Stop Challenge - 'Pick a Sketch' and also I've used the theme of 'Pink and Brown' - Teddy Bo Challenge. And the little buttons in the centre of the flowers fit the Totally Papercrafts - 'All Buttoned Up' Challenge.

The gorgeous papers are First Edition - Sweet Owl. The stripey paper is lovely and glittery. Teddy Bea - Handful of Hearts is from Teddy Bo & Co. I've paper pieced all of the image except for her fur which is coloured with Promarker Vanilla and Prisma Pencils. I've added some Star Dust Stickles to the heart for a little Pizazz!

The little flowers were made with Nellie Snellen Punches using the same paper pad and I've added little Papermania buttons in the centres. Ribbon and little brown flower sequins are from Mei Flower. Sentiment was made on computer.

My Crafty Heart DT Card - Let's Dance

Hope you've got your sunglasses at the ready... because this is certainly bright and bold !!! but hopefully it will cheer you up in this dull and miserable weather here in the UK!! Isn't this little lady gorgeous!! You just know she has a mega bubbly personality - I think she has a look of Kylie Minogue about her - well what she might have looked like as a toddler anyway !!! LOL

This fab Mabel Lucie Attwell stamp set is available from My Crafty Heart and is called 'Let's Dance' and it comes complete with sentiments 'Dance and Be Happy' - 'Enjoy Your Day' - 'Happy Birthday' - 'For You' and 'Let's Party' - 'From Me' and also lots of musical notes!!


I decided to go with a pink and lime theme with this card and have used Kaisercraft and Prima papers - see below for details. I wish I'd done the pearls a bit different bottom right but hey ho! never mind. In fact I've got very carried away with the pearls haven't I - ROFL - and also not quite sure why her hair is silver - I think it must be my fever with this cold - it's sending me a bit loopy !!!!

I hope you can join us in what promises to be a fun challenge - I certainly had fun making this little card and it's a great way to get ahead with your Cards, Gifts, Tags - so that you are not rushing around and making them all on Christmas Eve!! It doesn't have to be a card but it does have to follow the theme and be something Christmassy!!!

Bugaboo also very kindly gave us some fab images to play with and I chose this little gingerbread man! 'Christmas Gingers - 'Candy Canes'. I wanted to do a Gingerbread card last year but never got around to it. 

I've used the Nitwits Collections - Woodland Wishes papers again. I chose some cream and plum papers from the set and digitally coloured the gingerbread man to match. I have done some shading with Prisma pencils but it's not really showing up in the photo. I used the colours to make matching sentiments.

The embellishments are all from one set. They are buttons and I just took the back off the sweeties and lollipop. The little gingerbread house was already flat. 

So this was quite a quick card to make but I really like it. Oops I nearly forgot - the icing on the Gingerbread Man. I used my new Snow Marker and then heat embossed it slightly and then brushed it with glossy accents. It looks quite like icing in real life as it glistens.

MCH - DT Card - Sweet Eline in the 'Fairy Belle' Wood

Hello all, hope you are all enjoying the weekend. This is a card that was inspired by the new Prima - 'Fairy Belle' Pad which is now in stock at My Crafty Heart. Wow - this pad is So gorgeous. It's like a Fairy Woodland in pretty earthy/neutral colours.

I have used the gorgeous Nellie Snellen - 'Sweet Eline's Flower' again. But I've coloured her quite different this time and stuck to earthy colours of grey and brown to go with the paper that I've chosen. I think she looks very different but is just as beautiful.

I've not used too many embellies because I didn't want to cover up too much of the paper but have used lots of sparkle and gems and pearls!!  I also tried out my new Memory Box Willow Dragonfly Die and it's fab!! This little dragonfly is perfect for using up scraps of leftover design paper. Then you can add pearls or gems if you wish and it looks so pretty.

Thank You for all your lovely comments! I will catch up with you all soon! I managed to get some colouring done yesterday and really enjoyed it. I had a bit of a cold last week though and it's now settled on my chest and so I'm not feeling so good today - it's affecting my asthma and I'm just struggling to breathe this evening.  I have doubled up my inhalers and so will see how it goes. I really don't think this blooming weather helps at all !!! Hope you are all staying cosy and warm!!!

MAWTT - Challenge 143 - Va Va Voom (Sexy Ladies/Men)

Good Morning all! Hope you are all having a good week! it's a shame the weather has gone a bit chillier - but perfect for crafting and as it's Thursday again - time for another wonderful challenge over at.....

I have chosen to use the fab KennyK image - Scarlett West and thought I would go with a Steampunk Theme. Isn't she gorgeous!!  The amazing paper is designed by Celina Di Pisa and produced by Rayher Papers - I've had it stored safely away for about a year and it took SO much courage to cut into it!!! I've not put too many embellies on because I didn't want to cover up the paper!! I've also used a larger card blank (8 inches) to show off the paper. 

I've used some Small Filigree Silver Corners, Metal Flower and Antique Bronze Circle - all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The Vintage Clock Charm is from My Crafty Heart.

The 'Taurus' sentiment was made on computer - the card is going to be for a Taurus girl who is into Steampunk!!

I've zoomed in here and you might just be able to see the sparkle on her bodice and underskirt and the smoke! Lots of fine details on this image and so I had to use my Ultra Fine Nibs.

I've decorated inside with a Scrapbook layout. It's a Set called "Melt My Heart" from Digital Scrapbook Place. Sorry about the photo - the sun was streaming in when I took it and I was too tired to do it all again!! I arranged the Sentiment inside the Cog and it says Have A Wonderful Birthday!

My Crafty Heart DT Card - 'A Little Kiss'

Good evening! I have another wonderful image to show you today... it is called 'A Little Kiss' and is one the new range of Mabel Lucie Attwell stamp sets available at My Crafty Heart. Isn't it adorable?

The Stamp comes with the following sentiments also: "Happy Anniversary" and "Hugs & Kisses", "Sent with a Wish" and "With Love". I stamped these images before my Birthday and I have somehow mislaid all the Sentiments that I stamped!!! :-(

The Mabel Lucie Attwell sets all stamp beautifully and are a joy to colour. I've used the gorgeous "Howdy Doody" pad again - I love how bright and cheery these papers are!! I used the reverse side of the stripey paper for the "Delicate Vine" border. I love this border - it cut beautifully first time and think I will use it a lot.

Thank heavens for Prisma Pencils! I coloured this image a couple of nights ago and when I came to make up my card saw that the orange looked dreadful and SO unblended!! It might be that I was working by lamplight!!! but anyway managed to find a Prisma shade to blend it all together! :-)

I've used some of the new Flowersoft that is in stock at MCH. This shade is 'Autumn' and is perfect for this sunny card! So I've added some little flowers to her hair and in her bonnet. I think this will be an Anniversary Card or Valentines Card.
