Christmas Snow Scene - Shadow Box

Hello all, it's been a while since I last posted, so thought I'd share this little Shadow Box that I made just for fun. It's one of the new Sizzix Brenda Walton Dies... it's a lot smaller than I expected... about 8.5cm x 7.5cm when assembled... but hey, small can be fun too! ;-)

I cut the Shadow Box itself out of white pearl card. Then for background I used some night sky paper that was freebie in magazine a while back. I've used a Cheery Lynn - Winter Neighbourhood Border and created layers by building up with 3D foam squares. I've also cut a couple of layers by hand to look like snowy hills.

Then had to decide what to put at the front as it looked a bit boring. I tried all sorts but wasn't happy until I found this wonderful Boy and Girl Skating on Graphics Fairy. Yes, the skaters are a bit big in comparison to the houses... but the street is further away than it looks!!! honest! Lol

I decided against too many embellies as don't think it needs it ... so just put some silver nailheads on each corner.
Hope you like it!! My Daughter and Mum really love it!

Are you all ready for Christmas now?

Tesco have just delivered our main food shop and they had everything in stock!! Yay! they had even reserved my favourite Mr Kipling's Winter Whirls!! (they are sold out everywhere near here) and they gave us a little box of choccies for being a good customer... how kind!

Also one of our neighbours called around this morning...  a girl from the next road... and she brought some beautiful Christmas flowers for my mum to say Thank You for putting her bin out and bringing it in throughout the year!!  what a lovely gesture... it has restored my faith in humanity.

Ah well, my daughter has just arrived back from North Yorkshire to spend Christmas with Mum and I... I was very worried about her travelling in this awful weather... but luckily she got her train ok and is back safe and sound. So I feel I can relax again now... she tells me not to worry so much... but I can't help it!!!

Just in case I don't catch up with you before the big day... I would like to thank you for all your lovely comments and support throughout the year!! it really means a lot to me!!
Hope you all have a Wonderful Christmas and a Happy, Healthy, Peaceful and Prosperous New Year!!
I know some people might be unwell or going through a bad time... if so then I send you huge hugs and really hope that things improve for you very soon.

MAWTT - Winter Wonderland

Hello... I hope you are all well today... and big hugs to those who are not.

it's Thursday and the turn of Team B over at

and our lovely boss Hazel has chosen a theme of

  'Winter Wonderland'

So we want to see lots of snowy, icy creations! I'm looking forward to seeing all your fab entries! :-)

I've made a vintage themed card with this fab image from E-Vint. It really reminds me of our nearby meadows... as we have a little lane that runs down to a church... very quaint... and this is what it looks like when the landscape is covered in snow.

I think the papers are both Pion? the background one is a lovely soft blue with snowflakes... and the other paper has little churches in the snow, but I seemed to have covered them all with embellies!!

 Image: 'E-Vint'
Dies: Spellbinders - 'Create a Flake' and Memory Box - 'Snowflake Sprig'
Sentiment:  LOTV Grunge Sentiment.
Pom Pom Trim and Nailheads from Stash.

I hope you can hop on over to our main site at MAWTT and see the rest of the Team's wonderful snowy creations this week... lots of inspiration for you!!

Are you are all nearly ready for Christmas? I've been mega busy but am hoping to get my tree up this weekend. I have a hospital appointment on Friday for an Echocardiogram and then fingers crossed that will be my last appointment until New Year. So planning on having a chillout weekend. Will watch the Strictly Semi-Finals on Saturday... but hope Len is in a better mood... my, he was Mr. Grumpy Pants last week and I thought the judges votes and comments were very strange. Hope this week is better!!

Thank you for all your lovely comments and a warm welcome to my New Followers!

Divas by Design - Feeling Festive

Hello.... I hope you are all well.... it's Team A's turn over at

and we have a wonderful theme for you this week of....

'Feeling Festive'

Can't quite believe how Christmas is fast approaching this year... not too long to go now... so hope you will all join us for our Festive Challenge!

I don't usually do this... but thought I would make two cards this week... just to get you all feeling extra festive. They were fairly quick to make as I've used pre-coloured images from LOTV but I'm quite pleased with how they came out. The scrummy papers were freebies with Papercrafting magazine.

I've added some Spellbinders Snowflakes and some Star Nailheads to both cards. The 'Precious Stocking' below is from Memory Box and I've cut out the top from white felt on my ebosser.

Sorry the photos are a bit grainy... I should have got my lightbox out but was too tired!!

We are sponsored by the wonderful Stamp and Create

I hope you can pop on over to our main blog at Divas by Design and see the rest of the teams gorgeous and very Christmassy creations!!! :-))

Well I very nearly forgot to schedule my post for this morning!! I was just on my way to bed and checked my online Calendar... it's a good job I leave myself notes to remind me!!
Looking forward to the weekend again but I am bit sad as think it is the last episode of The Paradise... this series has gone by way too quickly... at least Mr Selfridge is on after Christmas... and Call the Midwife... so something to look forward to in the New Year!  ;-)
Thanks for all your lovely comments!
