Hello... I hope you are all well today...
it's Thursday and it's my turn to host Team B over at
and I have chosen a theme of
'No (Design or Digital) Papers'
So we would like you to make a card or project without using any ready made or digital papers....
You could make your own background using distress inks or by stamping a pattern or image. You could layer up different coloured card, emboss your card, use die cuts... anything... as long as you don't use ready made papers.
I have made a CAS card using a Brenda Walton Sizzix Deer Die - isn't he adorable!!
I layered up some red mirri card and then embossed some white pearl card. I love this embossing folder - it is from 'The Snowman' range. The sentiment is from The Crafty Pad and I've mounted it on a nestie.
Then I used my ebosser to cut out the deer. I cut some parts of the deer again in contrasting colours. I had a look on the internet to see what reindeer really look like!! and shock horror - they don't have red hooves and a red nose !! LOL - but did notice that they have very cute fluffy white tails... so I've added a bit of white flock which I hope looks ok. I've also added some tiny red gems to his halter/collar. I used a brown gem for his eye - although it looks red in photo!! Looking at this card now... I think maybe a little red heart would look nice bottom right... so might make another of these cards and try that.
it's quite a simple design but I think it's cute!

I hope you can hop on over to our main site at MAWTT and see the rest of the Team's wonderful creations this week... lots of inspiration for you!!
Thank you for all your lovely comments over the past couple of weeks! My dad's funeral went really well on Tuesday and it was a beautiful service. The sunshine even came out as we arrived at the Chapel and stayed out throughout the service, so that was nice.
I did a bit of blogging and crafting at weekend and enjoyed it but I seem to be really slow at doing everything. So think it's going to take me a while to get back to speed.
Looking forward to the Halloween Strictly at the weekend... and loving Downton and The Paradise too! :-))
Hope you are all doing ok
Take Care
Love and hugs
