Hello all, it's been a while since I last posted, so thought I'd share this little Shadow Box that I made just for fun. It's one of the new Sizzix Brenda Walton Dies... it's a lot smaller than I expected... about 8.5cm x 7.5cm when assembled... but hey, small can be fun too! ;-)
I cut the Shadow Box itself out of white pearl card. Then for background I used some night sky paper that was freebie in magazine a while back. I've used a Cheery Lynn - Winter Neighbourhood Border and created layers by building up with 3D foam squares. I've also cut a couple of layers by hand to look like snowy hills.
Then had to decide what to put at the front as it looked a bit boring. I tried all sorts but wasn't happy until I found this wonderful Boy and Girl Skating on Graphics Fairy. Yes, the skaters are a bit big in comparison to the houses... but the street is further away than it looks!!! honest! Lol
I decided against too many embellies as don't think it needs it ... so just put some silver nailheads on each corner.
Hope you like it!! My Daughter and Mum really love it!
Are you all ready for Christmas now?
Tesco have just delivered our main food shop and they had everything in stock!! Yay! they had even reserved my favourite Mr Kipling's Winter Whirls!! (they are sold out everywhere near here) and they gave us a little box of choccies for being a good customer... how kind!
Also one of our neighbours called around this morning... a girl from the next road... and she brought some beautiful Christmas flowers for my mum to say Thank You for putting her bin out and bringing it in throughout the year!! what a lovely gesture... it has restored my faith in humanity.
Ah well, my daughter has just arrived back from North Yorkshire to spend Christmas with Mum and I... I was very worried about her travelling in this awful weather... but luckily she got her train ok and is back safe and sound. So I feel I can relax again now... she tells me not to worry so much... but I can't help it!!!
Just in case I don't catch up with you before the big day... I would like to thank you for all your lovely comments and support throughout the year!! it really means a lot to me!!
