Seasonal Tags

While I was clearing my room last week I found a sheet of Christmas Rub On Stickers ... so wondered how to use them up ... so I've just made some quick Tags for next Christmas!!

I know the bottom left tag is upside down!! duh!! I was having a hot flush when doing photos and getting very flustered ... must be my age!! and I really didn't feel like getting all camera out again after I saw my mistake!!

I've rounded the corners on some of the tags ...

They were really easy to make ... just rubbed the images on ... added some stick-on gems/pearls and ribbon! I'm really pleased with how they came out.  So these tags are stashed away and all ready for me to find next year!! hee hee!

I started watching an Agatha Christie Film on 4 on Demand yesterday... it was 'Thirteen at Dinner'... Peter Ustinov was playing Inspector Poirot... and I was quite enjoying it until he introduced Inspector Japp - he was only played by David Suchet!! and he was talking in a cockney accent ... obviously it was before Suchet took on the role of Poirot .. but it was well confusing!! LOL - so I gave up on it and ended up crafting! I'm not very impressed with the TV this Christmas ... I'm glad that I have loads of DVD's to watch! Might try and find some Dickens to watch tomorrow..... I am missing Strictly! and on weekdays I will be glad when Neighbours is back!! it's the only Soap that I watch now... but I enjoy it while I'm eating my tea!

Snow Queen

Good Evening... I hope you all had a lovely Christmas... we had a very quiet Christmas but it was lovely to spend time with family... we had lots of nice food and were warm and dry... so we couldn't ask for more.. :-))

This is the Christmas Card that I made for my daughter... sorry the photographs are so rubbish... it has been dull, dull, dull with rain ALL week and I couldn't be bothered getting the light box out over festive holiday!!  my daughter asked for a card with 'ice' theme... so I used an image called 'Snow Queen' which I bought from ETSY.

The papers are Pion Design - and I'm not sure which one this is.... I bought them from Live and Love Crafts a while back... but this paper is like blue sky with soft clouds... it might be Poem of Spring? but anyway it seemed to go with ice blue theme... I've stickled the edges of paper to look icy.

I've added Memory Box Frostyville Border and Snowflake Corners from My Crafty Heart and covered them in Star Dust Stickles. Behind the image is some ice blue mesh which I've had in my Stash for ages.... and I've finished off with some pearls.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers... I've not used many colours...Cool Aqua, Soft Aqua and Almond and Blush... Cool Grey's for the hair... and tons of Star Dust Stickles...

As I said before.. it hasn't photographed well ... especially the Die Cuts... where the sparkle doesn't look good!! but my daughter loved the card! So I'm happy!!!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas... my daughter bought me some lovely Crafty goodies... so I am looking forward to the New Year and using my new stash... 

Tonight I am going to a friend's house for pizza... I've not seen them for ages as every time we were going to meet up I got ill... so it will be lovely to see them again and have a good natter!!

Santa is on his way.....

Hello...

I had to make a last minute card and so decided to create a little scene and make it the main focus of the card.... I think Santa is taking a little breather here while out on his rounds.... 

 I've used 'Sitting Santa' from Digital Delights and the rest of the winter scene with bench and lamp is from Make it Crafty... I've added my own sentiment and graduated background for the sky before printing out... then just had to colour the whole scene and add snow and sparkle!!

Paper was freebie with magazine and is Marianne Design Scandinavian Winter... ribbon is Papermania Home for Christmas. I had to add the glitter quickly and there was quite a lot of snow... so used Quickie glue Pen and Crystal Snow glitter.  Added 3 red Gems to finish. It was a really quick card but I think it's sweet! 

I've used Copics... for the Reds, Greens and Browns... and Grey and Pearl White Spectrum Noirs.

So we want to see Cards or Gifts to say 'Thank You' and you have extra time to get your entries in because this Challenge is running for 3 weeks and closing date is 9th January 2012. So why not ease yourself back into Crafting in the New Year by whipping up some quick Thank You cards for all those lovely pressies that you got... and it will also give you a chance to play with any new stash that you got for Christmas!

I wanted to make a Thank You card for a male... so it could be for the guy who sorts out your internet.... or the guy who fixes your car? get the idea...

I have chosen Al Digi Stamp which is a wonderful drawing of Albert Einstein himself...

I've kept the card very CAS and wanted to keep it Black & White too... so decided to do some shading with ordinary pencil... then just made the sentiment on computer and added it before printing out... so quite a quick card to make.

So sorry that I have not been around in Blogland....Crafting and Blogging are having to take a back seat for a little while as I need to spend time with family at the moment... I am ok though.. and hope to catch up with you soon.

Teddy and Robin - Snowball Race!

I made a couple of cards with this very cute Cuddly Buddly image Little Lu On Your Marks, Get Set...   it's a quick image to colour and I've added some Stardust Stickles to his fur trims and also to the snow on the trees....

Quite a simple design... the gorgeous paper is from Kaisercraft - Turtle Dove pad. The Ribbon is Papermania - Home for Christmas. And I've just added my favourite Memory Box Frosty Border using mint coloured pearl card. Oh and the sentiment is from LOTV - 'Icy Angel' stamp set... I've used this sentiment quite a lot this year.. it's a nice size and fits well on most cards.

I've coloured the image with Promarkers - sorry about the photos... none of the sparkles are showing up on this picture... it was So dull but I had to photograph it quickly as I was posting my cards that afternoon!!

It's a horrid day today... pouring with rain!!! I think I prefer the cold and ice! last night we had a lovely pink sunset which looked very pretty with the frost covered garden... and our little robin visited the bird feeder.... so it was like a Christmas Card scene!

'Christmas Crackers (humorous cards)'

So we want to see some Christmas Cards that will make us Laugh ....I think everyone gets a little very stressed in the run up to Christmas so this challenge will be the perfect antidote.... closing date is 8pm on 19th December 2012.

I have used my favourite Bugaboo character Stella - Stella Christmas - Psycho - she never fails to make me smile... and hope you can imagine her singing this 'not so traditional' version of Deck the Halls in a very droll deep voice... that is how I imagine her!! she reminds me of Lily Savage! LOL 

The Sentiment 'Tis the Season for Psycho Shoppers' comes with the Stamp and it gave me the idea to add to the lyrics... hope you like it... I do all my Christmas shopping online now but can still remember some very hellish Christmas Shops from pre-internet days....  fights over who is next in the queue... boy they could get very nasty!!! the pickpockets... ooh I could go on ... Bah Humbug! but don't want to be a Scrooge!!! LOL


I coloured Stella with Promarkers and the paper that creates the border was a freebie with magazine...

I got so caught up in Crafting that I nearly forgot to schedule this post for morning!! I've just done all my Stickling tonight... so it can dry overnight...  gonna read my book now...

Good evening! I am a bit late tonight... but then I've always been a Night Owl ... I hope you are all doing ok... and big hugs to all those of you who are unwell at the moment... I know there are some horrid bugs going around! This is a gorgeous Wee Stamp called 'Holly' and I thought I would use her for my mum's Christmas Card... my mum loves the rich traditional reds and greens.... and lots of sparkle... so hopefully this ticks all the boxes and she will love it...

I've used  Kaisercraft - Turtle Dove papers again which includes the stripey green border. The bottom paper is foil and so pretty irl.... The Rose, Holly and Red Berries are from Wild Orchid Crafts... the gold berries are recycled from old decoration. I've stickled the Wooden Snowflake and added a touch of Red Stickles to the Rose...

Finally I've added the Sentiment which is from the LOTV 'Icy Angel' Stamp.... and three red gems from stash. Oh and a red pearl on the snowflake!

I've coloured Holly with Watercolour Pens apart from skin which is Promarkers Almond and Blush. Lots of Stardust stickles on the snow and on her wings and earmuffs. I tried to capture the sparkle but as usual the camera doesn't want to show it... especially on her earmuffs!!! LOL

Well I know Christmas is truly on the way now because Santa came down our road last night with the Rotary Club... it's a big tradition here as they come every year without fail... 27 years ago when my daughter was a baby... he would come on a big Float along with all his Elves and the truck would all be decorated like a snow scene with lights and playing Carols... but each year it has dwindled down with the recession... and now poor Santa has to walk!!!!!!! and there was an Elf riding a bicycle towing a little amplifier playing carols on a tiny trailer... Aww I don't know why but it really tugs at my heartstrings! I think because it used to be so magical for my daughter when she was growing up... if I was a Millionaire... I would love to buy them a huge new truck and all the trimmings... but I suppose the best thing is that loads of people still answer the door and donate to the charity which is the main thing after all...

Ah well... off to get my cocoa before bed.... Hope you are all staying warm and snug!

Here Comes Santa Claus....

Here's a card that I made with a very cute 'Santa Sitting' image from Cuddly Buddly.... isn't he adorable... I think he is getting near the end of his rounds.... he's had quite a few mince pies and glasses of sherry by the looks of things!!

I've used Papermania 'Home for Christmas' stack and matching ribbon. The Winter Wishes sentiment is from 'Icy Angel' Stamp by LOTV.  The tiny pearls are from MeiFlower and I decided to do them on the image as pearls and gems seemed to clash with the paper patterns.

I've coloured Santa with Promarkers and Spectrums... added some Stardust Stickles to his fur trims...

Now his fur trims sparkle like crazy in real life... but camera is telling big porkies again... and  this is the best photo I got of the 'sparkles'

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend... I am just going to write some of my Christmas Cards before watching Strictly... we have got a neighbour on one side having major building work done and now some new people have moved in over the road and they have completely gutted the house... Oh the noise... they are planing all the floors with doors and windows open... and they work weekends!!!  but they did put a note through apologising for the noise that would be made.. so at least that is something... but I think I am getting old... I like my peace and quiet!! LOL I'm going to put my Karaoke Christmas CD on and have a Singalong now.... it will certainly drown out the building work noise!

I hope you are all well today... isn't it cold!! although yesterday was a lovely day here in Manchester... blue skies and sunshine... so that was a nice change from all the dull we've had lately... today it's time for a new Challenge over at

I love her so much!! You do get some wonderful sentiments with the image but I decided to do a Bridget Jones style comment and made this one on my computer....

I've coloured 'Ugly Christmas Sweater' with Promarkers... I got the Ultra Fine Nibs out and it really was a joy to colour!

You know I don't think I have actually made a Card with SC image before now!!!  ... I have bought quite a few SC images but just never got around to colouring them... partly due to all the illness that I've had this last year.... but anyway... to make up for lost time I've made two cards for this Challenge!! Yay! .. this next one is using 'Molly The Elf' which I bought last Christmas and never got time to use .... 

I've used a Kraft card blank and coloured cute little Molly with Promarkers.... added some Stardust Stickles for a little sparkle. Molly is helping out Santa and has long list of girls who have been very good this year.... do you recognise any of them? LOL - I'm sure they will all be getting visits from Santa this year!!

I'm feeling a bit better this week... I had a stomach bug last week and I really felt like 'death warmed up' and don't ever remember feeling as weak... so I'm taking things easy and trying not to do too much because as I'm sure you know from all my moaning this year... I keep getting ill... but think I have got most of my Christmas Cards made now and so can relax... I'm glad that I made some all year round... as every one helps a little!

I'm looking forward to Strictly on Saturday... but wonder who will be knocked out this week? they are all so good now... don't want to see anybody leave... I'm glad they are having four contestants in the Final now!! :-)
