MAWTT - 'Too Cute To Spook'

Good Morning... hope you are all well today.... it's Thursday again... and so time for a new Challenge over at 

Moving Along With The Times

and it's the lovely Debs turn to host and she has chosen the fab theme of...

'Too Cute To Spook'

Yes with Halloween just around the corner... time to create something spooky but not too scary!! in fact it has to be CUTE!! remember it doesn't have to be a card as long as you follow the theme!

I have chosen a very cute image from Paper Shelter called A Great Harvest... this little fella looks all set for Trick and Treating!

I've chosen some of my favourite MAMBI papers and kept the card quite simple... just added a flower and leaves made with Marianne Design dies... and added a WOC purple carnation in centre.

I've coloured the image with Promarkers. Can't believe that I was stupid enough to colour in all this image and then realise that I  hadn't left enough card space around it to cut out a square, circle or anything!!! anyway.. I had spent so long colouring it ... decided to cut the image out and just leave some white space... I just hope it looks ok?

Hope I have entered these correctly - I struggled doing these links as I am not well so if I have broken any rules then big apologies and please delete... I'm just glad that I typed up this post and all the links last week before I got ill. 

Sorry I haven't been able to visit you all and comment but I have yet another chest infection. Sunday I had temperature and was shivering all day... then in evening it started going up... and up... when it got to over 104F I felt really ill so went to A & E and they admitted me. So they kept me in until Tuesday afternoon while they got my fever down and I came home with some mega strong antibiotics. I still feel really ill and can't do much... any slight exertion and I can't breathe so basically I just have to rest. Can't believe that when I got back... the bloke next door is having is blooming house renovated. They are stripping the whole roof off and some top bricks and sending them all down a huge chute... Oh the noise!!  Thank the Lord for earplugs!! :-))

MAWTT - Alice Inspired

Morning - I can't believe it's Thursday again already! and it's time for a new Challenge over at 

Moving Along With The Times

and this week it is our lovely boss Hazel who is hosting and she has chosen the fab theme of

'Alice Inspired'

So we want to see creations inspired by Alice in Wonderland!!! it doesn't have to be a card.... could be a tag, altered item, atc.... as long as we can see that you have followed the Alice theme.

 I had to put my thinking cap on for this one... but decided to go with the Mad Hatter and a 'tea' theme... after all tea is such a quintessential part of British life! I coloured the MH in browns and then found this cool Raspberry Road paper which was freebie with magazine... I just had to use it as it had teacups on!!

 I've added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.... and added some gold Ivy which is Marianne Die... and there is an actual Tea Bag underneath the quote!!! yes I know it is a little crazy but it is the Mad Hatter after all!! LOL

The quotation is by Sir Philip Sidney who was an English Statesman in the 1500's... but I reckon he's hit the nail on the head with these words... I've also added a Twinings Label in top left corner... I've coloured the Hatter with Promarkers and a touch of Prisma Pencils...

It has felt really Autumny this week here in the Uk... the leaves are beginning to turn pretty colours... and we have had some sunshine... and some rain... and some very weird and loud gusts of wind in the night!!??? not sure what they are about... I just hope the owls have got their woolly hats on!! LOL

Not long until the weekend... I'm SO looking forward to Strictly and Downton again....

Snow Goddess - Purple and Pom Poms

My daughter is helping me with a major sort out of my room... something that I have been putting off for ages but it needs doing urgently now... anyway, I'm coming across loads of half-finished cards and coloured up images! is it just me who does this? please say no!! LOL 

I found this little lady all coloured-up and ready to go... :-) and saw the  Winter Wonderland - 'Photo Inspiration' Challenge with the colours purple and white... and the Sketch on Sparkle Creations (see below) and I thought... Hmmmm... I should really finish this card.... so managed to squeeze in a little Crafting and here it is... quite a simple design but love the colours and sparkle...

Sparkle Creations - Challenge 46

The image is by Michelle Perkett and is called 'Snow Goddess' - isn't she gorgeous? you might remember I used her on a Hexagonal Card a while back... but she looks very different in these contempary colours...

The gorgeous Papers are Cosmo Cricket 'Mitten Weather' and the scrummy Pom Pom Trim was a gift from lovely Alessandra - thank you hun!!

Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and gems are from stash.

I used Promarkers, Flexmarkers and touch of Prisma Pencils... added some Viva Pearl Pen for snow (think it was Silver) ... and some Star Dust Stickles on the Fur Trims... I added the sentiment before printing.

Wasn't Downton exciting... real nail biting stuff... I won't give away the plot in case you haven't watched it yet... but the storylines are wonderful this series... and really enjoyed Strictly but I'm a bit sad Johnny Ball has left... I would have liked to see him stay in just a little bit longer...

Awww... look what I bought!!

I love owls... so I couldn't resist buying three of these cuties when I saw them for sale on Etsy. They are made by the very talented Pat. Aren't they fab? She has also made some beautiful lavender filled hearts, mobile phone covers and bags... she is offering 30% reduction at the moment for her blogging friends!

I know a couple of people who love owls, so ....

two are going to be Christmas pressies... but I am keeping one for myself... !!! :-))))

and here you can see them hanging up with others that are for sale - they are SO cute...

MAWTT - Tag It !!!!!

Tag It!

So we want to see Tags!!! any colour combo, any occasion as long as it's a Tag/s... these were so quick to do and yet I love how they came out... :-)

For the Snowman Tag I have used the image 'SnowTrio' and for the Brown Tag I have used an image from a set called 'In The Meadow We Can Build a Snowman'  

For the Brown Tag I have used a Stitchy Bear Stamps image from a set called 'In The Meadow We Can Build a Snowman' - I have taken the pre-coloured image but changed the tone to match my brown theme. The gorgeous paper is by Karen Funk at Design House Digital and is from Brown Paper Packages Set - Apple Strudel. And I will be singing 'Brown Paper Packages tied up with string' all day now!! LOL. I've added a portion of a Memory Box Frosty Border in Mint coloured card... and some brown string elastic for tie... oh and a touch of Cinnamon Stickles on the snowflakes in image which doesn't show up!! 

 For the Snowman Tag I have used the Stitchy Bear Stamp image 'SnowTrio' and coloured with Promarkers. The gorgeous paper and NOEL element are from Design House Digital by Karen Funk and is from set called 'Christmas Joy'. Just added a star gem from stash and some red and green ribbon for tie...

They were really easy to make so might make some more of these when I get the time ... hope you like them!

I'm sorry that I haven't got around to visit many of you this week but my dad was taken ill on Saturday. So things are a bit hectic ... trying to juggle everyday things with hospital visiting etc. and I am SO tired I look and feel like a zombie at the moment which is very appropriate with Halloween just around the corner!! 

Ah well not long until the weekend... and I think Strictly starts on Saturday!! and that means It Takes Two also... Woo Hoo!!... something to cheer us up now the nights are drawing in... really looking forward to it!
