Bo and Bea - In The Garden

This is an Anniversary Card that I've made for my mum and dad. When I saw this image I thought it was perfect for them as, weather permitting, they both love to sit out together on our garden bench. I keep buying more and more of these Teddy Bo stamps. I really love them and I think I might actually have a crush on Bo !!!!  LOL

My mum and dad love them also which is good! I think Teddy Bo is perfect for male cards. He's not a soppy teddy - he has real character! I don't work for Teddy Bo Co. btw!! LOL just love them!
The papers are from Capsule Papermania Verde Pack. The sentiment was made on computer and mounted on nesties. I've added some pearls and ribbon from stash. The gorgeous flower and leaves are from Wild Orchid Crafts

Colouring:
Teddy Bo and Bea: E31, E33
Bo's Clothes: G82, G85
Bea's Clothes and Flowers: Cornflower Blue and Pastel Blue Promarkers
Grass and Ribbon: G82, G85 and Meadow Green Promarker
Butterfly: Meadow Green and Sakura Glitter Pen Clear Star
Bench: Cinnamon and Tan Promarker
Prismacolour Pencils used for shading

The butterfly looks better in real life honest! It is glittery but looks very odd here!

The sun is shining again here in Manchester! It is nice to see it after all that dire weather! I am just adjusting now to the heat - so probably it will change again now to cold LOL.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:-

Craft Your Days Away GDT - Challenge 25 - SUMMERTIME

Good Morning! Hope you are all ready for the Weekend and hope it's a good one for you! It's time for a new Challenge over at Craft Your Days Away and I am delighted to have been chosen as Guest Designer for this fortnight's Challenge which is ...

SUMMERTIME

A great theme, despite the weather!!! and perfect for this 'Molly at The Beach' Stamp.

The papers are Pink Petticoat 'Fluffy Clouds' in Ocean Blue and some lovely textured golden card for sand effect. The border of blue card was done with wavy scissors and Metallic Silver Sakura Pen on edges to hopefully look like waves. Ribbon and Starfish are from Stash. I made the windmill by downloading a free template, shrinking it and printing pattern on one side and colouring the other side with Promarker Buttercup. It was a bit fiddly being so small but am quite pleased with result. The sentiment was made on computer. And finally a few golden pearls to finish off.

I've also decorated the inside and put a pocket on the left for Gift Voucher or Birthday Money.

Colouring:
(Promarkers by name, Copics by No.)
Skin: E02, E21
Hair: E55, E57
Dress & Hat: Vanilla, Buttercup
Ribbons: R24, R29, Cornflower, Pastel Blue
Beach Ball: As above

Hope you can hop on over to Craft Your Days Away Blog to check out the rest of the Design Team's stunning work and hope you can join us in the Challenge!!  Entries for this challenge should be in by 18:00 on Thursday 4th August 2011.

Zooming Along!

This wonderful stamp is 'Zooming Along' by Lili of The Valley and it seemed perfect for this week's LOTV 'Fun and Games' Challenge and I was also pleased to see some boys/mens challenges this week as I have had quite a few male cards to make recently!

I found a few more papers left over from the Serif 'Spring in Your Step' Collection which was a freebie with Scrapbook Magazine. I made the sentiment on computer and added some 'manly' embellishments with the brads and bow. Quite a simple card but great image for male card!

Colouring: Promarkers
Bear: Vanilla and Tan
Helmet: Tan and Cinnamon
Scarf: Honeycomb and Pear Green
Goggles: Cool Grey 2 and 4 plus Glossy Accents
Car: Ruby
Car Metalwork: Cool Grey 1, 2, 4 and 5 with Stardust Stickle

The image is coloured almost identically to the one on my 'Born To Be Wild' card that I did few weeks ago but I think it looks completely different with these papers. James Bear certainly looks like he is having fun anyway !!!! LOL

Hope you are all keeping warm! It's been so cold last few days. I actually put my gloves on whilst shopping the other day because it was freezing!! And is it just me or do the nights seem to be drawing in!!!

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:-

Sweet Stampin - 'It's One for the Boys' (ends 22nd July 2011)
Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 89 - 'All About the Boys' (ends 22nd July 2011)
Sentimental Sunday - Challenge 64 - 'For the Men in Your Life' (ends 23rd July 2011)

Wedding Day!

When I saw the Fussy and Fancy Sketch for their latest Challenge,  I immediately thought it was perfect for a Wedding Card that I was about to make. It really is a 'Fabulous Sketch' and I loved working with it.

I didn't have die cut that shape but liked it so drew something similar with square and circular templates! All those geometry lessons at Junior School paid off LOL. I dusted edges with 'Spun Sugar' Distress Inks.

The Papers are from Pink Petticoat 'Vintage Rose Collection' and are perfect for wedding card. The lace, ribbon, pearls, horseshoe charm are from stash. Gorgeous flower is from Bunny Zoe's. The Sentiments were made on computer and mounted on Nellie Snellen Die Cuts.

The stamp is one I got a while back as I thought it would be good for both Weddings and Anniversaries. It's one from Wild Rose Studio Stamp Set called appropriately 'Wedding Bells'. Coloured with Promarkers Cool Greys 1, 2, 3 and 4, Blossom, Rose Pink, Meadow Green, Apple. Initially the bells were just grey but I thought they needed some pizzazz so used some Star Dust Stickles on them.

Fussy and Fancy Friday - Challenge 40 Sketch

I have decorated inside also but forgot to photograph it!

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - Challenge 172 - 'Lace' (ends 13th July 2011)
Colour Create - Challenge 74 - 'Fuschia Green and White/Optional Homemade Flowers' (ends 13th July 2011)
Fussy & Fancy - 'A Fabulous Sketch' (ends 14th July 2011)
Allsorts - Challenge 111 - 'Free and Easy July' (ends 15th July 2011)
CES - Challenge 44 - '1 image, 2 Ribbon/Lace/Twine and 3 DP's' (ends 15th July 2011)

Oldie but a Goodie - Challenge 23 - 'Lace and Ribbon' (ends 25th July 2011)

I have got another couple of cards to finish off. And some really good news! I was chosen to be Guest Designer for 'Craft Your Days Away' on Challenge Saturday 23rd July. Really looking forward to that!

Hope the weather is sunny where you are! Dull here in Manchester at the moment!

My daughter and her boyfriend have just come back from Scotland and they had good weather on Saturday and enjoyed a lovely walk around Loch Lomond. Then they went to the Trossachs on Sunday but it rained heavily. What a shame it didn't hold out. Stunning scenery from the photos I have seen!

Thanks for all your lovely comments.  I will be celebrating my 1st Year Blogging on 30th September so am sorting some nice Candy with Christmas in mind! Will probably do draw from beginning/mid September.

Winter Fairy

There are quite a few Challenges for 'Christmas in July' and 'Things with Wings' so what better than a Christmas Fairy ... so here goes - my first Christmas Card of the year! I bought the Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine a couple of weeks ago which came with 'Fairies of the Season' Stamps by Sarah Williams. I thought I'd try out the lovely Winter Fairy.

I wanted to do the card with an ice blue theme but then realised I don't have many Christmas Design Papers! Searched the internet and found some Free Snowflake Paper. I have tinted it blue/grey with Photo Software to go with my theme, then distressed and Stickled the edges.

The Ice Blue card is Papermania and  I embossed a strip for across the middle and used it for backing and mounts which are nesties. The sentiment was made on computer.

I have dusted edges of image and sentiment with 'Faded Denim' Distress Ink. The flower is made with some gorgeous organza ribbon from Bunny Zoe's. I won a £10 Voucher for their store when I was drawn random winner at Sweet Stampin' Challenge. So big Thank You to both!!!

To make the flower, I just cut a piece of wired organza ribbon about 14cm long. I then used some Star Dust Stickle on each edge to seal it and stop it from fraying. When dry, find the edge of the wire at each end of top edge and gather the ribbon inwards as tight as you can. Then tie the wire securely and trim off ends. Et Voila! you can tweak and arrange the flower how you like and put something in centre.

I used in centre an Artemio Button from stash. Pearls and 'Christmas Stocking' Charm are from Bunny Zoes.

Colouring:-
Face and Skin: Almond and Blush
Hair: Copic E25
Dress, Stockings, Boots: Pastel Blue and Blender Pen
Fur Trim and Pom Poms: Fun Flock and Kars Glitter

Sorry that my close-up of Winter Fairy doesn't have lovely frame that I usually do. My iPhoto Software has been very naughty and stolen all my photos and become corrupted and I haven't sorted it out yet!! Managed to find and save my photos but program won't work! Groan! Just what I need at the moment!!

I would like to enter this into the following Challenges:-
