I love doing inspiration photos as it makes me try new things... and this lovely photo certainly inspired me... lots of things leaped out at me... Layers, Butterflies, Hot Summer Colours, Raindrops sparkling in the sunshine (I have a very vivid imagination !! )
I've made the flower out of a new die from Die-Cutting Essentials 2 Magazine, and wanted to make it look delicate like a water lily. I only had green vellum though... so green it had to be!! Lol. I heat embossed the edges with copper to match the butterflies.
The butterflies were made with a stamp set that was freebie with Quick Cards Made Easy a few weeks ago. I stamped and heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder onto green vellum.
I've embossed or debossed? the orange card with a honeycomb pattern. Decided my pale green paper on right looked a bit bland and so I stamped a background pattern onto it. The stripey orange/white border is a strip of quilling paper. Finally, I added some Dew Drops.
I hope you can pop over to our main site at MAWTT and see the rest of the Team's sparkly creations this week!!
Did you all have a lovely Easter? mine got off to a bumpy start as my mum came down with flu and she needed lots of TLC as she was very sick. She is a lot better now though which is a relief. I went to have a tooth out last week and the dentist couldn't get all of it out... so I'm left with the root in... waiting for an appointment at dental hospital to have it cut out! will be glad when I get rid of it as my gum keeps swelling up and is very sore. I did manage to eat my Easter Bunny and Easter Egg though! I scoffed them all in one go this year!!
Just heard that Poldark has been renewed for a second season... that's good news isn't it!!! I gasped with horror when I read a comment on the Daily Mail yesterday though... a lady said that Ross Poldark needed a shave, a good bath and to lose some weight!! Noooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROFL
Thanks for all your lovely comments, I really do appreciate them!
Will catch up with you all soon!
Love and hugs

Sorry your still under the weather, a build up to going to the Dentist is bad enough never mind waiting now for an appointment for the dental hospital.
I only had one egg! but, I did eat it all in one go because I've always believed that they can go off if not eaten rolf..Quite full after but, boy was it good.

Perhaps the lady should go to Spec Savers! He looks just fine to me.

Hi Sue, such a pretty card. Very clever heat embossing onto the vellum, stunning results. I haven't seen the Poldark remake yet..I have been worried that it might not be as good as the original which I love! Cx

Gosh I love all the elements you took from the piccy, they were all really good. I would have gone butterflies and stopped there. This is probably why your cards are far more creative than mine! This is super Sue, love the flower and obviously the butterflies! Your tooth sounds a bit of a disaster area, u got a hospital date yet? Also how's ur mum? Hopefully fully recovered now and feeling brighter in this lovely sunshine? Enjoy the weekend, Jx

Color challenges and photo inspirations are to me the hardest ones. But this image is just amazing, so many possibilities! I love orange and I love how it makes your card look so vibrant and springlike.
