I made this card for the Whiff of Joy - Challenge No. 98 which is 'Paper Piecing'. I hope that you can see in the close-up that I have pieced some of the backing paper for Willow's dress and shoes to match the background. I also decided to have a go at using my gold-leaf kit which I have had for six months and never opened !!! I painted the Size (glue) onto the handbag and the belt/sash with fine paintbrush. My first attempt was dreadful, but this one (my 2nd attempt) is not too bad so thought I would use it.

Colouring:
Hair: Promarkers Vanilla and Tan
Skin: Copics E00 and R20
Necklace and bracelet: Sakura glitter pen
The backing paper is Milton & Co Paper Stack available at Handy Hippo. The gorgeous animal print card is also from Handy Hippo and I cut the shape with a Fiskar Template and Edging to make it look like an animal skin/rug then distressed and inked the edges. I haven't done much distressing - this is only my second go. I think I might get to like 'distressing' as all that scraping gets rid of a lot of tension if you are feeling stressed!!! LOL. The sentiment is from a Molly Blooms stamp set (freebie with magazine) and mounted on gold card. The black ribbon is from stash. The gorgeous Gardenias are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Oh Sue now you are talking my language - I love everything about this the image is tooooo cute and any thing to do with brown does it for me!! The gold leaf has such a sparkle mine is still unopened - not for much longer. Animal print is fabby and those flowers well you know I like texture!! Moving Along With The Times has a Fashion theme which this card would fit and Simon Says Stamp is asking for Coffee & Cream which this has too.
You have done so well here Sue, blogging made me grow so much in my styles of cards and I can see its doing the same for you

I have to confess, although I had done a bit of sticking papers on shapes, I didn't really know what 'paper piecing' was until I did this card. But I found this great tutorial. It makes it really easy!
