I have a lot of favourite colour combos but one of my all time favourites is Pink and Brown/Grey
so I've made a Vintage style card in these colours...

Thanks for all your good wishes for my dad... he is still in hospital and things are still very up and down at the moment... I have got a slight chest infection .... I always seem to get this nowadays when I am tired or stressed... but I've got some antibiotics and am going to try and get some rest... it's all the worry that is so tiring... it just drains you...

I did enjoy making this card though! I felt like doing a bit of crafting last week to take my mind of things... and it was nice to work with my favourite colours! :-))

Tags and Atc

Hi... I'm sorry that I haven't been around to visit you all and I've not posted for a while .... my dad is very poorly in hospital... they think he has infection around his metal heart valves somewhere... I  think he is going to be in there for quite a while.. it's very tiring with all the worry etc. .... we are just trying to rest when we can and keep a bit of normality in our lives also...I did a little bit of commenting and crafting yesterday just to take my mind off things for a while....

then I remembered that I hadn't shown you photos of the things that I made for my friend Elaine in our tag swap.... they have now arrived safely in Australia and so thought I would show you the piccies...

 This is the Tag I made for our 'Christmas in July' theme...
the blank Tag was from My Crafty Heart

 the tag has a little pocket on one side with tag in... so sweet!

I've used My Mind's Eye 'Lost and Found' Christmas papers...

I also made this little knitted koala - now I know it's far from perfect!!! but it was made with tlc !! 

I used to make loads of knitted toys when my daughter was young but that is 25+ years ago and I've honestly forgotten how to knit and stitch these up!!! so it was a learning curve!!

I made this vintage style Tag too... I used one of my new LOTV stamps on the background... then added some paper around the edges and lace, pearls, flowers etc...

and finally this is an atc that I made just for fun... thought I would do something very 'British' and so chose a Sherlock Holmes theme....

Ah well... off to get a cup of Ceylon Tea now and a Crunchie Bar!!... I've not had one for years... but had a craving for the honeycomb... so I'm indulging.... just hope it doesn't bring my fillings out... I think I best eat it carefully !!! LOL

Divas by Design - 'Tags'

Hello.. I hope you are all well today... it's the turn of Team A over at

So you can make a straightforward Tag or you can include the Tag somewhere on your project!! but we must be able to see a TAG!!!

I really like that you can resize the EZ templates - it makes them very versatile... and this was a very quick  make... I layered some digital paper onto the template and then printed out... cut out the pieces and layered up... added pom pom trim onto edge of each layer... and finally gold nailheads to look like baubles... it's quite a simple design but love how it came out! I am going to make a couple more of these - they will be nice to put on special Christmas Gifts for close family!! :-)

 Hello! I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather... sorry I have not been in blogland for a while... I had a few health problems... won't bore you with them... but I'm feeling a lot better now and I'm finally acclimatising to the heat....

I haven't done any crafting though.... my mojo totally disappeared... but I have dug out this card to show you... I made it a couple of years ago for my daughter to give her grandfather for his 80th... back in the days when I had lots of time for colouring!!! LOL - now I'm pretty sure that I haven't posted this card before - but if I have.... then I blame it on the hot weather fuddling my brain!!! 

anyway... it's perfect for this lovely weather.... Teddy Bo is juggling his sausages on the BBQ or should I say burning them? - there is a lot of smoke!! hee hee - no... I think they are just 'well done' 

 We haven't got a BBQ but we used to get those disposable ones... and they do work ok... so might get one in for my parents Anniversary this month... it would be nice to eat out Al Fresco..

I coloured the very cute Teddy Bo with Promarkers - gosh I can remember from 2 years ago!!!

I am going to catch up on some commenting now... then having jacket potato for tea... and watch Masterchef Australia... then might do some crafting... I think it's the first time in about 10 days that I've felt like getting back into it ! :-)))

Tag Swap - Part 1

Hi... no card today... I'm not feeling too well and so resting ... the heat seems to be affecting me really badly at the moment... and don't think the Murray match last night helped matters!! hee hee... my blood pressure must have gone through that roof! ooh his opponent was like a spoilt giant five year old spitting the dummy!! LOL  

Now when I mentioned a few weeks ago about the Beer Festival held at our local church.. which is this weekend....a few of you sounded really curious.... but please feel free to 'skip and scroll' if not interested :-))

I know... it sounds SO odd... but it began about 8 years ago when a new vicar joined our parish and on his first Sunday Service the roof fell in on him right near the altar!!! he wasn't hurt but he took it as divine intervention that the church need some major repairs...  and when it was surveyed... well the whole roof needed re-leading and everything... the cost was phenomenal... and there were also lots of other repairs needed too....so they had lots of fund raising events... Fetes, Fun Days and Musical Evenings etc. but it just wasn't bringing in enough money to pay for it... so to tempt some of the young ones in...as the vicar was a 'real ale' enthusiast - he decided to get a few different ales in for folk to try... and put on a BBQ etc.... well that's how it all began and now it has just got bigger and bigger each year!!.. 80 Casks of ale and 50 of Cider/Perries in the Church hall now!!!... big marquee in church grounds.... local bands... so yes it is a bit strange... but then I'm not sure we'd still have a church without it? a true moral dilemma eh?

ok... enough of my waffle... onto my Tag Swap with my lovely buddy Elaine in Australia.... 

This is what she sent me and ooh she wrapped them so beautifully too... and I love strawberries!!

the first thing I opened was this beautiful book card....

I love this strawberry paper!!! 

it opens up and also has a little drawer at the bottom... isn't it exquisite!!

and inside are these gorgeous altered pegs... each one is decorated so beautifully!!

Ooh I was blown away by these gifts.... we did a tag swap with a theme of 

'Christmas in July'

and this is the wonderful tag that Elaine made for me... Oh I love it SO much... all the little details... look at his apron... and the sparkle on his fur trims... the cute animals.. and those sweet little Christmas Lights... it's awesome!!

I really haven't got the hang of Tags and Atc's yet... I would like to do nice backgrounds on them with inks and glimmer mists... but I keep trying and they come out a mess... so I'm going to watch some video demos and see if I can pick up some tips... I will show you the tag I made and a couple of other things when they arrive with Elaine....

Oh well... I'm going to have something to eat and then might read or watch a DVD :-)

Heck of a Challenge - GDT - The Sea - July

Yay! I was super, duper delighted when Lisa asked me to be Guest Designer for July over at

Heck of a Challenge

and the fab theme this month is....

"The Sea"

I had lots of fun making this card as I had just bought these gorgeous Tropicana Papers and also the Brass Compass Charm.... and then I found this scrummy Hannah Lynn image... so I had lots of inspiration....

Viva Pearl Pen for pearls in chest....

 I fussy cut the image and added a border and some flowers from the Tropicana pad... and then finally the brass compass charm to finish off...

I coloured the image with Copics and Promarkers... used a Viva Pearl Pen for the little pearls...

Ooh I'm SO mad at Blogger!!!!!!  I've just come on late Sunday evening to Schedule this post and it was all done in draft and ready to go... I just went to change a couple of words and the whole ***** post vanished!!!.... really don't understand how it happened and why I couldn't get it back with undo or not saving and then logging back in again...Grrrr!!! and I'm SO tired.... :-( 

I had to start the post again right from scratch... "eye roll"
I did it very quickly and so hope it looks ok !!

it's been very strange weather today... it's felt warm but there is also a chill in the air that gets right into your bones... and so the vest is back on..!!!  LOL

Edit: Monday morning!! Ooh I was having a right old moan last night wasn't I !!!! LOL - just wanted to say that I've added the Bloglovin' link at the top of my Blog.... I don't actually use Google Reader but I know a lot of you do use it and are going over to Bloglovin' - so I thought I would join it.... and looking at it... found I actually quite like the look of it... so I might actually use it myself !!! ;-)
